2017 is extra special because this is the year I was able to visit three different locations outside the Philippines. I'm sharing the video highlights of my trip (Feeling Vlogger!) Special thanks to my Mama Yolanda, Rachel, Jenica and the Cayetano Ahjummas (Marsha, Melinda, Vicky and Arlene) for a very pleasant trip! HONGKONG 00:00:00 - 00:02:37 March 07-09, 2017 This trip was short yet memorable because it was Rachel’s first out of the country trip while it’s my first time to travel abroad with a friend. Places we visited: Hongkong Disneyland, Madame Tussauds, Peak Tram and Mongkok. OSAKA-KYOTO, JAPAN 00:02:38 -00:07:08 April 26 - May 1, 2017 My second visit to Osaka & Kyoto was way better than my first because 1) It’s Spring season (My first visit was in summer season and hindi makatao yung init!) and 2) We were able to visit A LOT of tourist spots because we didn’t get lost. Japan’s train system can be a little bit confusing but with research and helpful Japanese everywhere, we survived. There are so many reasons why Japan should be on everyone’s bucket list. Ancient traditions, art, food, efficient transportation, festivals, city night lights, shopping, advance technology, anime, customs etc. Sa sobrang ganda ng Japan, wish ko talaga na japanese ako sa next life ko. Places we visited: Dotonburi, Shinsaibashi, Universal Studios Japan, Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, Osaka Castle, Namba Park, Umeda, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kyoto Station, Golden Pavillion and Kiyomizu Dera. SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA 00:07:09 - 00:15:10 October 30 - November 4 Our trip to Incheon was almost “cancelled” because of a ticket fiasco. Imagine, we are less than 24 hours away from our flight yet di kami sure kung tuloy ba or hindi. Take note, the flight was booked September 2016 pa only to find out na ang inissue sa aming ticket was for October 2016 and not for October 2017. But thank heavens that not only the trip did manage to push through but Cathay Pacific even gave us extra 9 hours in Seoul! The Autumn experience in Nami Island made all the stress worth it. So Amira of Cathay Pacific, thank you for an “unforgettable” experience. Cathay Pacific, please lang lagyan niyo na ng YEAR yung mga ticket niyo. 😂 Places we visited: Myeongdong, Gwanghamun Square, Gyeongbokgung, Anguk, Insadong, Hanboknam, Bukchon Hanok Village, KBS On, MBC World, Grevin's Wax Museum, Namsan Tower, Nami Island, Petite France. In addition to my scheduled trip to Taiwan this coming April 2018, I am praying na kayanin din ng budget namin na makabisita ulit sa Japan (Autumn season sana) and South Korea (Spring season) “The impulse to travel is one of the hopeful symptoms of life”
These are VERY NICE AND FAST Otis Elevonic 401 Elevators High Rise at the 550 Sherbrooke West Building in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. These Elevators are located in the 20 story wing of this building complex (there is also a 16 story wing that has former Turnbull Elevators) which appears to be a bit newer judging by the inside and the fact the Autotronic panel looked like it had the orange lights, not green for up, red for down, but according to emporis, these were indeed installed and this place was built (both wings) in 1954. These were originally Otis Autotronic Elevators with the Touch Sensitive or Pop Out buttons, but were very nicely modernized in the Early to Mid 1980s (probably 1984) into Otis Series 1 Elevonic 401 Elevators. The motors, fixtures, cabs, controller were all replaced, but they kept the Autotronic panel in the lobby along with the original door operator that makes that classic Otis "door humming sound" that I like!!!! They door track is also original, and these are VERY FAST and THRILLING and FUN TO RIDE, and I love the sound these make when they run!!!!!!! These also run like they were put in today, are in MINT CONDITION, And I love the call buttons!!!! The call buttons look like Dover Impulse call buttons but with Series 1 buttons, and they also almost look like a retrofit on a Touch Sensitive or Lexan call station!!! Overall, these are VERY NICE and AWESOME, and while they obviously aren't original and are modernized, this is still AWESOME because the modernization is at least 30 years old, so the quality still feels very good, the mod is tasteful, and they sure made these fast and fun when they modded them!!!! Anyways, with that all being said, let's GIVE THESE A RIDE!!!!! Installed: 1954 (Otis Autotronic with Touch Sensitive or Pop Out Buttons) Modernized: Early to Mid 1980s (Otis Elevonic 401s with Series 1 fixtures) (Possibly 1984)
