Today, we’re at Pinehurst #2, the three-time (soon to be four) host of the U.S. Open. Chris Triplett is an 8 handicap out of Detroit, MI - he’s attempting to break 90 Liz Breed is a scratch golfer out of Brooklyn, NY - she’s attempting to break 80 Mark Stagmeier is an 18.8 handicap (wildly specific) - he’s attempting to break 90 Pinehurst was designed by Donald Ross (designer of Aronimink GC, Seminole GC, Oak Hill GC, etc.) and opened in 1907. Pinehurst is home to some of the greatest moments in U.S. Open History; notably, Payne Stewart’s par save to win the 1999 U.S. Open over Phil Mickelson.
