La 15e étape est l'étape reine de la Vuelta a España 2022. Le peloton s'attaque d'abord à l'Alto del Purche (8,5 km à 7,6 %), avant la seule ascension de catégorie "Especial" de la course : le sommet de la Sierra Nevada, qui culmine à 2 512 mètres. High Altitude Tests Riders On Queen Stage | Vuelta A España 2022 Stage 15 Highlights
Stage 15 is the Queen stage of the 2022 Vuelta a España. The peloton first take on the Cat-1 Alto del Purche (8.5km at 7.6%), before the only "Especial" category climb of the race: the 2,512m-high summit of Sierra Nevada. At 22.1km in length with an average gradient of 6.7%, this is the hardest climb at the race and one that’s certain to flip the GC on its head. La 14ème étape verra les coureurs pénétrer dans la tristement célèbre chaîne de montagnes de la Sierra Nevada pour une nouvelle arrivée au sommet, cette fois au sommet de la Sierra de la Pandera (22,9 km à 5,2 %) - une ascension populaire de la Vuelta, qui y a participé cinq fois depuis sa première apparition en 2002. Summit Finish Shows Who's In Form! | Vuelta A España 2022 Stage 14 Highlights
Stage 14 sees the riders make their way into the infamous Sierra Nevada mountain range for yet another summit finish, this time atop the Sierra de la Pandera (22.9km at 5.2%) - a popular climb at La Vuelta having featured five times since its first appearance in 2002. The last part of the climb - 8.2km at 7.2% - is by far the toughest and will surely create time gaps between the GC contenders! Les projecteurs sont de nouveau braqués sur les prétendants au titre de champion du monde lors de la 12ème étape, alors que le peloton se dirige vers le quatrième sommet de la course. L'ascension de Peñas Blancas (19 km à 6,3 %) est la seule ascension classée de la journée, la plupart des coureurs devraient donc arriver au pied de celle-ci avec des jambes fraîches. Breakaway Battles It Out On Peñas Blancas! | Vuelta A España 2022 Stage 12 Highlights
The spotlight passes back over the GC contenders on stage 12 as the peloton heads towards the fourth summit finish of the race. The climb to Peñas Blancas (19km at 6.3%) is the only categorised climb of the day, so most should arrive at the foot of it with a fresh pair of legs.
