Rory McIlroy’s fifth Race to Dubai title is already secured coming into the week, but the Northern Irishman is bidding to close out his season by winning the DP World Tour Championship for a third time and first since 2015. The World Number Two has won twice this season in nine starts and claimed a further five top tens. Jon Rahm comes into the week looking to successfully defend his title. He’s managed subsequent top tens on the DP World Tour in his last two starts at the BMW PGA Championship and acciona Open de España presented by Madrid. The Spaniard arrives in Dubai with the chance to claim a record-extending fourth DP World Tour Championship and sixth Rolex Series title. Adrian Meronk will also fancy his chances this week. The Pole heads into the final event of the DP World Tour campaign as the only player to have won three titles this season. He’s also hopeful of grabbing exemptions into THE PLAYERS Championship and the Charles Schwab Challenge in 2024. The event hosts an individual professional tournament for the world's leading golfers and the Team Championship in which the professionals are paired with amateur golfers .Ryan Fox returns to defend his title this week after completing an emotional victory last year at the home of golf. He comes into the week on form after finishing 3T at the Horizon Irish Open last month and claimed victory at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth two weeks ago. Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, Rasmus Hojgaard and home favourite Robert MacIntyre will all tee up in Scotland fresh from their European Ryder Cup victory against The U.S Team at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club. Tommy Fleetwood has been the most successful of the four at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in the past. He’s had six top-tens, including two runner-up finishes, in addition to his Team victory five years ago. Robert MacIntyre will make his fourth consecutive appearance in front of home fans, with a personal best of tied 20th last year.
