Will the Dallas Mavericks sweep the Los Angeles Clippers? Thats the question that should be burning in every Clippers fans mind right now. In fact, when it comes to Kawhi Leonard, Paul george, and the Los Angeles Clippers, there’s no other way to say it: Their current starting lineup has been an absolute disaster and is in desperate need of some changes. Head coach Tyronn Lue plans to do exactly that Friday when his Clippers take on the Dallas Mavericks. With Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis and even Tim Hardaway Jr. shooting lights out and sinking the Clippers with every shot you have to wonder what the Clipper can do to stop them. The question here is, how sustainable is a 128.3 offensive rating? Well, it’s surely not going to stay at that level all series long, and the Mavs aren’t going to keep knocking down 50% of their looks from deep, as they have been against the Clippers. In fact, only 55.7% of Dallas’ attempts are coming from inside the three-point line, and no team has attempted fewer shots from inside 10 feet than the Mavericks, who have averaged 27.5. To suggest there will be a regression here is an understatement. You can’t expect a team that relies on the three this heavily to continue to knock down half of the looks they get. Regardless of the defense on the other end of the floor, you’d bet on every team to cool down in this spot. Now trailing 2-0 and having lost home-court advantage to the Dallas Mavericks, the Clippers must halt a five-game playoff losing streak dating back to last year's postseason. Lue says the Clippers will show who they truly are with their backs against the wall. While Lue and All-Star guard Paul George said they weren't concerned after falling down 2-0, the Clippers have been unable to live up to massive championship expectations and are staring at the possibility of another embarrassing playoff failure. They blew a 3-1 series lead in epic fashion in the second round to the Denver Nuggets last year in the bubble. Determined to change the narrative around their postseason crash, the Clippers haven't won a playoff game since Game 4 against Denver. The Clippers are the only team in the past 30 postseasons to lose five consecutive playoff games as a favorite. And because of that, I think the question of a possible sweep is a fair one. The crowd in Madison Square Garden was raucous on Wednesday night for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first round series between the New York Knicks and the Atlanta Hawks. The energy in New York City was palpable and helped will the Knicks to a crucial 101-92 victory. But one fan took things too far on Wednesday. As Hawks point guard Trae Young prepared to inbound the ball in the fourth quarter of the close game, a person sitting in the second row appeared to spit at him. The 22-year-old didn’t seem to notice what was happening behind him but other fans clearly saw what happen. Another incident involving Russell westbrook caused westbrook to become LIVID after a fan dumped popcorn on his head Wednesday -- calling the person's actions straight-up "bulls***" -- and even LeBron James is pissed over it all now too. Westbrook was on his way to the locker room after injuring his ankle during the Wizards' playoff loss to the 76ers in Philly ... when a fan poured their bucket all over the NBA star.
