Jacob Misiorowski Throws FIRE In Brewers-Yankees SWEEP 🔥

The Milwaukee Brewers completed a sweep of the New York Yankees this past weekend that included back-to-back walk-off wins to help them crawl a little closer to the top of the NL Central. However, it was something their young ace did in his start that stole the headlines for the series. On this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman discuss the emergence of Jacob Misiorowski as the true number one in the Brew Crew’s pitching staff after he threw some of the fastest pitches ever by a starting pitcher en route to helping Milwaukee secure the win. Even though the Brewers traded away former ace Freddy Peralta this past offseason, “The Miz” is grabbing the number one spot by the horns and might not relinquish it for a long time. Later, Jake and Jordan talk about the Atlanta Braves taking two of three from the Los Angeles Dodgers in what could be a possible NLCS preview come October, and they get into the interesting trade for baseball “sickos” that went down between the San Francisco Giants and the Cleveland Guardians. The guys then recap all the other action from this past weekend in baseball, including the New York Mets not having a great road trip, the Texas Rangers cooling off the Chicago Cubs a little and Kyle Schwarber not slowing down in the home run department. 0:00 - Start of the show 2:26 - The Opener: The Miz throws fire 17:16 - Why the Brewers are just getting going 26:29 - Around The League: Possible NLCS matchup 33:03 - Remembering Bobby Cox 37:34 - Giants & Guardians make a trade 53:32 - Turbo Mode: Rest of weekend action -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🟣 Your definitive source for 24/7 sports news, analysis, and insider reporting! THE MAUMEE RIVER RIVALRY REMATCH! Komets vs Toledo Walleye: Round 2 Game 1 (5/10/2026)
THE MAUMEE RIVER RIVALRY REMATCH! Komets vs Toledo Walleye: Round 2 Game 1 (5/10/2026)

Here we go again! Everyone at this point last year made it this far. The cream has risen to the top, the contenders have eased passed the pretenders. And what do we have left in the Central? Komets versus Walleye...again... The Komets got to this point by making quick work of the Indy "Fishers" Fuel in round 1. Winning the series in 5 games with 2 shutouts to boot, one by each goaltender. The K's will be riding with Samuel Jonsson as their goalie of choice for the foreseeable future. He has been standing on his head this series with only 2 goals allowed in 2 games and a .961 save %. In the playoffs you need your goals to come from everyone, The Komets have been doing that. The snakebitten Leo, Indiana native Matthew Miller finally got his first home goal as a Komet in game 5 of the first round. Brady Stonehouse who had his fair share of tough luck has 3 goals and is a plus 3 thus far. Stoney is the type of sandpaper player that is built for the playoffs, and if he can keep up that scoring clip, then everyone should take note. Not to mention that the top guys are scoring as well, Austin Magera leads the playoffs with 7 assists to go with 3 goals. 2 Points per game is an insane clip regardless who the opponent is. Every Komet on the active playoff roster has recorded at least 1 game, a true sign of the team's depth. Maybe this year will be different, the Komets have the talent to make that elusive deep run that hasn't happened since they won it all back in 2021. They have not lost at home so far in the playoffs going a perfect 3-0 at home up to this point. The Toledo Walleye have had a slightly different road up to this point. They won their series in 6 games to the Bloomington Bison. To the surprise of very few, Brandon Hawkins leads the team in points with 8. One thing they have been doing well was tearing up Bloomington's defense. Scoring 24 goals in 6 games well distributed up and down the line-up. Take it with a grain of salt, because Bloomington was playing catch up mode most of the series, Carter Gylander has a sub .900 save percentage, although not by much. What is alarming is what was the 6th best PK in the league comes in the playoffs with a college failing grade at 64.3% (however, that would have passed my weighted Differential Equations class I had the displeasure to take in college.) The Komets special teams have been firing up at the right time, Toledo will need to find that regular season groove to keep up and to prove that they are not cooling off at the worst time possible. This series will be chaos, as it always is. With Toledo getting the best of Fort Wayne the last couple of times last year and back in 2019. That series last year was painful for Komets fans. A golden opportunity was squandered as the underdog team. Now The K's are the top seed with home ice advantage, now is the time to dethrone the Fish once and for all. For Toledo Walleye, the ever elusive Kelly Cup has been teasingly close. They would love to win this series to continue narratives against a division foe and to bring home Toledo's first hockey championship in 32 years.

Donovan Mitchell & James Harden killed Detroit in G3, but can they do it AGAIN in G4 for the Cavs?
Donovan Mitchell & James Harden killed Detroit in G3, but can they do it AGAIN in G4 for the Cavs?

Stars often decide playoff games. In Games 1 and 2, Cade Cunningham was the best player on the floor and carried his team to victory. In Game 3, it was Donovan Mitchell’s turn to show why he’s a perennial All-NBA player. Mitchell’s heroics to start and a nine-point fourth quarter from James Harden to close helped the Cleveland Cavaliers climb back into their second-round series against the Detroit Pistons with a 116-109 win in Game 3. Detroit still owns a 2-1 series lead. Starts to games have been an issue for the Cavs throughout the first two games of the series. They’ve lost the first half by 13 and 11 in the first two games of the series. That trend turned around in Game 3, or at least it did after the first three minutes. Detroit got out to a quick seven-point lead after Duncan Robinson and Cunningham hit two tough contested triples right out of the gates. The Cavs settled in from there. They found a way to get into the paint in the opening frame. Mitchell and Jarrett Allen led the charge, as each delivered nine points in the first quarter, leading to a narrow two-point advantage after one. | https://www.fearthesword.com/cavs-scores-results/49123/cavs-recap-detroit-pistons-game-3-cleveland-cavaliers-jarrett-allen-donovan-mitchell-james-harden-cade-cunningham-evan-mobley Subscribe and ring the bell for the latest talk about the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland Cavaliers and Ohio State Buckeyes: https://bit.ly/ucss_subscribe Follow on Twitter: https://twitter.com/ultclesports Watch live on YouTube 11 a.m.-1 p.m. weekdays on YouTube and WKYC+ on your Roku and Fire TV apps! Kody Clemens had three hits and Kendry Rojas earned his first major league win with a strong outing in relief as the Minnesota Twins held off the Cleveland Guardians 5-4 on Sunday. Brooks Lee hit a tiebreaking single in a four-run fifth inning for the Twins, who took two of three in the series from their AL Central rivals. Guardians manager Stephen Vogt was sent home hours before the first pitch due to lingering respiratory issues. Tony Arnerich filled in as acting manager. Making his second career appearance, Rojas (1-0) struck out five and walked three over 3 1/3 innings. He allowed one run and five hits. The 23-year-old left-hander from Cuba entered to begin the second inning after opener Andrew Morris worked a 1-2-3 first. Yoendrys Gómez pitched a perfect ninth for his third big league save and second this season. Brayan Rocchio went 4 for 4 and scored twice for Cleveland, setting a career high for hits. Gavin Williams (5-3) gave up five runs and 10 hits in six innings. He struck out six and walked one. | https://www.espn.com/mlb/recap/_/gameId/401815287 Subscribe and ring the bell for the latest talk about the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland Cavaliers and Ohio State Buckeyes: https://bit.ly/ucss_subscribe Follow on Twitter: https://twitter.com/ultclesports Watch live on YouTube 11 a.m.-1 p.m. weekdays on YouTube and WKYC+ on your Roku and Fire TV apps!
