The debate also revived older complaints about IPL ticket culture in India. Fans again raised concerns about black marketing, VIP quotas, and how influential people allegedly receive privileged access while ordinary supporters struggle to get tickets through official sales. Some Bengaluru residents argued online that politicians demanding free passes while fans pay thousands of rupees showed how disconnected political elites are from the public. So the IPL venue controversy has now become more than a cricket issue.
