Checo Perez ha presentado su candidatura al campeonato del mundo de la temporada 2022… el salto de calidad que ha dado el piloto mexicano en la presente temporada y sobre todo, su más reciente victoria ha abierto un gran debate… ¿Tiene sergio probabilidades reales de ser un candidato serio por el titulo del mundo? ¿o está condenado a ser el escudero de Verstappen sin importar el progreso y la autoridad que demuestre en la pista? El contexto lo es todo en estas preguntas y para responderlas es necesario comprender quien es Max Verstappen y quién es Sergio Perez para el equipo RedBull racing. Max es el presente y futuro de la estructura austriaca, el piloto que los hizo soñar con que podian vencer a un binomio imparable como lo fueron por años Hamilton y Mercedes; sueño que se hizo realidad en la temporada 2021 cuando conquistaron el titulo mundial en la ultima carrerra del calendario en medio de una inmensa polemica. Verstappen es considerado por la prensa y los expertos, como el piloto más talentoso que hace vida en el paddock de la Formula 1; y conscientes de ello, RedBull no ha dudado en poner muchísimo dinero sobre la mesa con la intención de retenerlo la mayor cantidad de tiempo posible, dando nacimiento asi al denominado “Contrato más grande en la historia de la Formula 1”, una renovación por 6 años en la que el piloto holandés se convirtio en el hombre mejor pagado de todos los tiempos en este deporte, ganando la suma de 65 millones de Euros al año.
