These are my audio clips from the Vermont-Stony Brook Men's Basketball game on Thursday February 20, 2020 at IFCU Arena. The Catamounts went on an 18-2 to run late in the game to give the Catamounts their 12th straight win. Vermont was victorious 63-54 on the road. The game was broadcast on 90.1 FM WUSB with Jim Ferchland and Zach Wilson calling the action. Vermont's Ben Shungu carried the Catamounts with 16 points but Everett Duncan knocked down three consecutive triples to give Vermont a 12-point lead with 2 minutes. Andrew Garcia had 20 points for the Seawolves. They are likely to lock up the #2 seed in the America East.

Greece Athena graduate Anthony Lamb scored 28 points to lead Vermont into the NCAA Tournament with a 66-49 win over University of Maryland-Baltimore County in the America East championship on Saturday. Lamb was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player after going 8 of 16 from the field with nine rebounds. He sank two straight 3-pointers to ignite an 11-0 run that gave Vermont a 17-point lead in the second half. Lamb, who was also a unanimous selection for conference player of the year, has been on a tear over the last week and averaged 26.7 points in the three America East tournament games. The 6-foot-6 junior forward scored 34 in a quarterfinal win over Maine and 18 in just 28 minutes in a rout over Binghamton in the tournament semis. (AP) — Jason Dunne made five 3-pointers and scored 26 points and Hartford ended Vermont's nation-best 15-game winning streak with a 69-68 victory on Sunday. Hartford's Hassan Attia dunked with 1:41 left for the game's final points. Vermont (22-6, 12-1 America East) missed a 3-pointer with 1:20 to go and then had two shots blocked at the rim in the final seconds by John Carroll and Attia. The loss ended the Catamounts' 33-game win streak in conference games and their 22-game home streak. Vermont was the nation's last team that was unbeaten in conference play. Hartford (16-11, 9-4) had lost nine straight to Vermont.

Brooke Jenkins scored what proved to be the game-winner with just eight minutes remaining to lift the sixth-seeded Vermont women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over No. 2 Binghamton in the America East Semifinals. The Catamounts advance to the America East Championship for the first time in program history and will travel to No. 5 Stony Brook next weekend with a trip to the NCAA Tournament on the line.
