OT WINNER TAYLOR HALL #nhl #fyp
The NHL’s division system has always played a huge role in shaping how the playoffs unfold, and it quietly decides how difficult a team’s path really is. Teams spend the entire regular season battling within their own division, building rivalries and getting used to the same opponents. When the playoffs start, those same matchups carry over into the first rounds. On paper it creates intensity and familiarity, but in reality it can create completely different levels of difficulty depending on where a team is placed. Some divisions are loaded from top to bottom, forcing teams to survive constant heavy matchups just to advance, while others give a bit more room to operate. That is where the conversation starts to get heated. When a team like the Carolina Hurricanes falls behind 2 to 0 and still manages to come back without it ever feeling out of reach, people begin to question how tough the road actually is. In some divisions, going down like that means the series is basically over because the competition punishes every mistake. In others, there is more margin for error, and that changes how these games feel. It is not just about how good a team is, it is about the environment they are playing in and the level of pressure they are facing every shift. Because of that, the division format ends up driving narratives just as much as it creates matchups. A comeback in one division is seen as grit and resilience, while the exact same comeback somewhere else can get brushed off as expected or even lucky. Fans notice those differences, and it fuels debates about which teams are truly being tested and which ones are benefiting from the structure. The system guarantees rivalries and drama, but it also guarantees that not every playoff path is equal, and that is why moments like this always turn into bigger conversations than just one game. #nhlplayoffs #OTWINNER #hockey#nhlhighlights
4 Warriors Rosters Steve Kerr Could Coach: One Has Kawhi & LeBron On It 😮 Cap Sheet Deep Dive 🔬
W’supper, DubNation! Rich with Let’s Go Warriorsfor a high-vibrational Warriors cap sheet deep dive 🔬 RELATED FOUNDATIONAL OFF-SEASON VIDEOS: - 2026-27 first stab at salary cap sheet (live w/ Dean Chambers) https://youtube.com/live/5-AzIVnv--c - Let Steve Kerr and Joe Lacob talk it over https://youtu.be/wt45AD1yE8E - Draft Primer w/ Eric G. of NBADraft.net https://youtu.be/VtZmqEH95CI In this video essay, we look at four possible roster paths that could shape whether Steve Kerr returns — and what kind of Warriors team he might actually be coaching next season. This started from the question: Should the Warriors wait until the Draft Lottery before any final decision on Kerr? Because once you look at the cap sheet, the dominoes are everywhere: Draymond Green’s opt-in vs opt-out number Kristaps Porzingis’ next contract Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody injury timelines The 11th pick vs a Top 4 pick The second apron and first apron Whether a non-taxpayer mid-level path is possible A wild Kawhi Leonard / LeBron James / John Collins “Last Dance” scenario Why keeping the lottery pick matters for the post-Steph bridge Bottom line: the Warriors’ offseason might not be one decision. It might be a chain reaction — and the Draft Lottery could be the first domino. It Got Late Early For These Two MLB Teams
It may still be early in the Major League Baseball season, but for two teams, to borrow a phrase from Yogi Berra, it got late early as the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies fired their respective managers. Managers may not be the ones putting the rosters together (that falls to the head of baseball operations) but when those players don't perform, it's more often than not the managers who take the blame. Mets fans, frustrated by their own team's won-loss record, might have been hoping to see recently fired Alex Cora be hired by the team. Two things happened. The Phillies called Cora first, and Alex turned them down basically saying he wants to spend time with his kids on the beach in Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, Anthony Volpe is expected to come off the injured list and subsequent minor league rehab assignment, but there's more to his return to the team than meets the eye.
