#iqbalsports #cricketlive #ipllive Live: RR Vs CSK, Match 37, Jaipur | IPL Live Scores & Commentary | Rajasthan Vs Chennai Live, Inng 2 Business query: info.iqbalsports@gmail.com Preview: Chennai Super Kings are on a roll. They have now won three games on the trot and the last two in particular were in convincing fashion. However, their most recent defeat came at home against their opponents for Thursday (April 27). Rajasthan Royals arrived in Chepauk and pulled off a job. They will now come into this contest on the back of two defeats but that win in Chennai will hold them in good stead. Jos Buttler, who hasn't fired in the last few games, delivered in that contest in Chepauk a couple of weeks ago and Royals were also aided by contributions from R Ashwin, Devdutt Padikkal and Shimron Hetmyer. Buttler's form has directly coincided with RR's fortunes without a doubt. The English swashbuckler hammered over 200 runs in the first four games but has managed just 40 in the last three, including two ducks. Apart from Buttler, the Royals also need a significant contribution from their skipper. Sanju Samson started off with a bang, scoring 97 runs in the first two games. But he has made only 84 in the next five. What could add to Samson's challenge is the surface in Jaipur. Batting wasn't exactly easier in the only game played here so far. That could play into their hands given how CSK have been putting up big scores. What the Royals wouldn't want on Thursday is another loss. They won four out of their opening five games but have stuttered a bit in the last two games. A third loss on the trot would put them under a bit of pressure. CSK on the other hand have seen their fortunes turn after that loss to Royals in their own den. Injuries have hampered them big time but this side still keeps winning games. Ajinkya Rahane's form has provided them an extra bit of spark in that top order and they have found new heroes with the ball in the form of Tushar Deshpande and Akash Singh. Rajasthan Royals Squad: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson(w/c), Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jurel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jason Holder, Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal, Abdul Basith, Akash Vasisht, Donavon Ferreira, Murugan Ashwin, KM Asif, Riyan Parag, Joe Root, Adam Zampa, Navdeep Saini, KC Cariappa, Obed McCoy, Kuldip Yadav, Kuldeep Sen, Kunal Singh Rathore Chennai Super Kings Squad: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube, Ambati Rayudu, Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni(w/c), Matheesha Pathirana, Tushar Deshpande, Maheesh Theekshana, Akash Singh, Dwaine Pretorius, Subhranshu Senapati, Shaik Rasheed, RS Hangargekar, Mitchell Santner, Ajay Jadav Mandal, Prashant Solanki, Simarjeet Singh, Bhagath Varma, Nishant Sindhu Score card: crex.live

But prior to this jampacked action we need to go through the build-up phase. Match 26 of the ongoing league will see Rajasthan Royals rub shoulders with Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium Jaipur. This will be the first match of the season in Jaipur. Team Preview (Lucknow Super Giants): The Lucknow-based franchise finds themselves in the second position in the points table. They have won three out of five matches and have gathered six points so far. They started the season with a sweet victory against the Delhi Capitals and lost their next encounter against Chennai Super Kings. They have had a topsy-turvy time so far in the competition and will look to bounce back from the defeat in their latest game against Punjab Kings. Kyle Mayers seemed in good touch in the last encounter despite the lost flair for a sudden period of time. They've found different match-winners from varied players which includes Nicholas Pooran Marcus Stoinis Krunal Pandya KL Rahul Mark Wood etc. Team Preview (Rajasthan Royals): With eight points in the bucket Rajasthan Royals have managed to win four out of five matches. After comprehensively steamrolling Sunrisers Hyderabad in their season opener the Sanju Samson-led unit withstood a defeat against the Punjab Kings. Right after they bounced back and outwitted their opposition for three successive games. They defeated Delhi Capitals Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans to push themselves to the top of the charts. Barring the last game Jos Buttler has been consistent at the top of the order. The other opener- Yashasvi Jaiswal has blown hot and cold for them. Sanju Samson tailored a vital half-century in their latest game against the defending champions while Shimron Hetmyer had the upper hand in storming through the chase at the Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad. The spin trio of Adam Zampa Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal has been an indomitable force and it only gets bolstered with the addition of Trent Boult. Head-to-Head: Rajasthan Royals have won both the encounters they've had with Lucknow Super Giants till now in the history of IPL. This is a clash of the table toppers (as of match 24) and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. Both sides have a good number of match winners and will be looking to pocket some important points. What to expect: Red and pink everywhere in Jaipur except on the square in the middle. There are eight black-soil pitches at the venue and the three of them in the center have been prepared for this IPL season. The match will be played on pitch 4 which on a closer look looked dry underneath and a layer of grass has been left to keep the surface together. The only T20I played here threw up middling totals in the 160s and it got harder and harder to bat as the match progressed. R Ashwin had observed how the ball spun more the slower he bowled. There has been consistent dew in the evenings here and the curator expects more of the same during the match too. The ground one of the smallest capacity cricket stadiums in India sports a rather big playing area with roughly 70m boundaries all around. Chahal pointed out how he was looking to bowl here as a spinner. Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. The ball did stop a bit in the deck on the odd occasion but with the dew taking effect the batting side will feel confident. Can Hardik Pandya and his men spring up a surprise and defend this total? Or will Rajasthan gun it down without a fuss? Rajasthan will be a tad bit disappointed with that bowling effort as there were occasions in the first innings that they had Gujarat on the back foot but simply couldn't capitalize. Trent Boult got an early wicket but was pretty expensive. The spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal picked up just a single wicket in between them and went for a bit of runs as well. Adam Zampa though bowled really well and picked up a wicket. The pick of the bowlers once again was Sandeep Sharma who was riding high on confidence from the last game and bowled valiantly at the death picking up a couple of wickets as well. Rajasthan will feel that their batters will be able to chase this one down. Gujarat were pegged back early as Wriddhiman Saha fell in the very first over. Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill looked to be forming a gritty stand but the former was run out and Gujarat looked in trouble. The skipper then walked in and played flamboyantly and Gill too found his groove. Pandya fell looking to keep up the ante and Gill too couldn't stay on for much longer. It was then some big hitting from Abhinav Manohar and David Miller in the death overs that really fired Gujarat to a total that they will feel is a good one. A flurry of big hits toward the end from the likes of David Miller and Abhinav Manohar has seen Gujarat post a solid total of 177 runs. It was a topsy-turvy first inning but going into the break Rajasthan will be the slightly happier of the two sides. That will ease the nerves a bit. Fullish length on the pads Devdutt Padikkal stays back and clips it aerially over the mid-wicket region to pick up a boundary the first of the run chase. Since joining GT in the IPL Hardik Pandya has had a strike rate of 190+ thrice in an innings in the first balls and two of those have come against RR- 21* off 10 (210) vs RR (2022) 19* off 10 (190) vs LSG (2022) & 19* off 10 (190) vs RR (today). Excellent delivery from Hardik Pandya and it is backed up really well by Shubman Gill in the field. Just short of a good length and very close to the off stump with the natural angle taking it away. Yashasvi Jaiswal gets cramped for room and ends up poking at it off the back foot. The ball takes the outside edge and goes to the left now first slip where Shubman Gill takes a sharp stop. Pandya is absolutely delighted. Ends with a boundary! Served on a Shortish length outside off and shaping away Sanju Samson stands tall and caresses it just behind the man at point for a lovely boundary. The dot-ball pressure does the trick and Jos Buttler departs playing an unnecessary shot here. Mohammad Shami keeps it on a good length and bowls it around off stump. Buttler shuffles right across the off stump and attempts the scoop. The ball angles in off the deck and beats the bat before knocking the off stump right off the ground. Buttler departs for a duck and Rajasthan are in early trouble here. Picked up and dispatched! Good length angled onto the pads Devdutt Padikkal flicks it effortlessly and over the backward square leg fence for a biggie. Bowled from over the wicket and pitched up around the fifth stump line. Devdutt Padikkal frees his arms and swings through the line before lofting it well over the wide long off fence for a biggie. India and New Zealand will be playing against each other in the third and final match of the T20I series. After Ranchi and Lucknow the decider will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad. After a horrendous ODI series New Zealand started the shorter formats with a win under their name. Batting first the fifties from Devon Conway and Daryl Mitchell helped the Kiwis to post a total of 176 runs. India failed to chase it down despite valiant efforts from Suryakumar Yadav and Washington Sundar. The Men in Blue bounced back in the 2nd T20I after they managed to make a heavy weather of a paltry total. It was Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya who helped the side to go over the line by keeping their calm. While the visitors will be looking to redeem themselves from the ODI series against India the 'Men in Blue' will look to keep their record intact. Team news India: The hosts left out Umran Malik for a second spinner in Yuzvendra Chahal and the pitch again will dictate that decision. Team news New Zealand: The visitors have played the same side on what were slightly different surfaces and they are unlikely to make any change for the decider. While the pitch in Ranchi left Hardik Pandya "surprised" the India captain was "shocked" by what was on offer in Lucknow. And when the talk is largely about the playing surface ahead of a series decider especially with India's proud record of 12 undefeated home series on the line something's got to give. Ahmedabad the venue for the third and final T20I between India and New Zealand has had its fair share of debate around pitches in the past. And the last thing both teams would want is another tricky T20 surface that sees Lockie Ferguson bowl as many overs as Mark Chapman; or Deepak Hooda twice as many as Yuzvendra Chahal. Pitch aside India will know that there's work to be done especially with a young side that's trying to ready itself for 2024. After a breezy ODI whitewash the T20I rubber hasn't been as easy for the hosts. While the death bowling cost them in Ranchi their batting was under the scanner two days later; India got past a target of 100 with only a ball to spare. But the challenging conditions stole the thunder away hardly allowing the team to assess their progress. For example Arshdeep Singh bowled the 20th over again after copping some heat in the first T20I but that he was up against a team limping at 94/8 hardly lent credibility to his five-run last over. For New Zealand this is a great opportunity. They are without a host of their frontline players like Trent Boult Kane Williamson and Tim Southee and are in with a shot to beat India in a T20I series at home - the bragging rights for which has belonged only to Australia and West Indies in the last eight years. For Mitchell Santner's team that will be a great shot in the arm and expect the side to mount a good challenge for the hosts pitch permitting of course. What to expect: A nervous curator. And a fair few cheers for Hardik Pandya the Gujarat Titans captain who is also leading the India T20I side now. Like most Indian grounds teams have preferred to bat second here but in the last couple of games here against England India showed that it is in fact possible to defend targets here. That said those games were played in March; this one could see some fair amount of dew though. It will be interesting to see what pitch the match is played on (Ahmedabad has both red and black soil pitches) but expect the venue to be buzzing again with capacity crowds. The match is scheduled at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. India will be without their two stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Also with Jasprit Bumrah missing Hardik Pandya will again have a young seam bowling unit to lead in the series. However despite the key players' absence team India looks rock-solid studded with the likes of Suryakumar Yadav Shubman Gill Ishan Kishan Yuzvendra Chahal and Arshdeep Singh. It will also be interesting to see if Prithvi Shaw makes his much-awaited international comeback in the very first game. He will fight a virtual contest with Gill Ishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad for an opening slot in the playing XI. This series will also give the much-needed opportunities to Rahul Tripathi and Deepak Hooda to upgrade their status from fringe players to regulars in the shortest format. The visitors will look to erase the scars of the ODI series and start the T20Is on a winning note. But their journey won't be easy as they will miss ace pacers Tim Southee and Trent Boult. So the onus will be on their batting unit comprising Finn Allen Devon Conway Glenn Phillips Daryl Mitchell and the sensational Michael Bracewell. It will also be a litmus test for Mitchell Santner who besides batting and bowling will have the additional responsibility of leadership. Lockie Ferguson who was abysmal in the ODIs must perform as the leader of the bowling attack by not only putting up impressive performances but also guiding the young guns like Henry Shipley Jacob Duffy and Blair Tickner. So who will win? Team News New Zealand: After impressing in the ODI series Michael Bracewell will be a shoo-in for the T20Is. Ben Lister could be making his debut. Team News India: Ruturaj Gaikwad stands ruled out of the series with wrist pain/injury but India haven't asked for a replacement. They are likely to stick with the opening pair of Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill which served them well recently against Sri Lanka. There's also Prithvi Shaw in the squad this time having forced his way back with the sheer weight of runs at the domestic level and how India try and bring him into the scheme of things will be something to keep an eye on. There's no Harshal Patel this time around and the returning Kuldeep Yadav could challenge Yuzvendra Chahal's spot. What to expect: A whole lot of MS Dhoni t-shirts in the stands. Only three T20 Internationals have been hosted at this ground with the last one being a rematch between India and NZ here in 2021. Tim Southee and Harshal Patel's cutters headlined the slow pitch on that occasion but India have played on much better pitches this season and something similar could be expected in Ranchi. Watch out for the big boundaries at this venue. Pitch Report: The pitch at Ranchi's JSCA International Stadium Complex offers a balanced surface in T20 cricket. The average first innings score here is 133 but India easily chased a 154-run target against Kiwis in the last T20I game played here.
