Scotland scored 325/7 in 50 overs setting a target of 326. Macleod (100) was the top scorer for Scotland followed by Coetzer's (79) runs knock. Gulabdin Naib registered the best bowling figures of 3/72 followed by Hamid's 2/54 and Aftab's 2/66. In the chase of 326 Afghanistan lost Zazai at the score 28 but Shezad and Rahmat built a strong partnership of 93 before Shezad left the ground at 121/2. Rahmat and Shahid held their nerves and took the team to the total of 230 when Rahmat left the ground after an individual score of 113.When heavy rain started Afghanistan were 269/3 in 44.5 overs. Rahmat was the top scorer with 113 followed by Shahidi's 59 runs not out and Shezad's 55 run knock. Asghar also remained not out at individual runs of 22.
