Derek "Boogeyman" Boogaard Tribute (RIP)
On May 13th 2011, Derek Boogaard (A player with such a good heart) who Played for the NHL's Minnesota Wild And The New York Rangers. Was found dead in his apartment in Minneapolis, Minnesota by his family and was pronounced dead at the scene. Update. Cause of death was accidental overdose caused from a mixture of pain killers (Oxycodone) and achohol. There has been no indication of homicide but with the concussion he received in a fight with Matt Carkner on Decemeber 9th, 2010 playing against the Ottawa Senators, He never recovered to play again. His brain was donated to the Sports Legacy Institute, for analysis for sport related head injuries. Career. A native of Saskatoon, Boogaard played Major Junior Hockey in the Western Hockey League (WHL) for the Regina Pats, Prince George Cougars and Medicine Hat Tigers. After recording 9 points and 245 penalty minutes with the Cougars in 2000--01, he was drafted in the 7th round, 202nd overall, by the Minnesota Wild in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Midway through the 2002--03 season, he turned pro and joined the Louisiana IceGators of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). He then spent two seasons with the Houston Aeros before earning a roster spot with the Wild in 2005--06. By the end of 2009, Boogaard had played four and a half seasons with the Wild tallying 2 goals (both scored in his first season) and 492 penalty minutes. On March 7, 2010, Boogaard was suspended for 2 games for a knee on knee hit to Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Jones. On July 1, 2010, Boogaard signed with the New York Rangers for $6.5 million over four years. His last NHL shift ended at 17:29 of the first period in a Dec. 9, 2010 game against the Ottawa Senators, when he suffered a concussion in a fight with Matt Carkner, and he never did sufficiently recover to play again. Extraligový zápas Fatra Zlín - AERO Odolena Voda. Utkání skončilo jednoznačně pro domácí Fatru, ale v hledišti zvítězili fanatici z Vodolky :-)
Aero Odolena Voda - Slavia Havířov
Video ze začátku třetího setu volejbalového utkání extraligy mužů. Domácí Aero Odolena Voda v tuhle chvíli prohrávalo 2:0 na sety, ale do třetího setu vstoupili dobře, což je na videu krásně vidět. Zlepšená hra nakonec dovedla oba týmy až do rozhodujícího pátého setu, ve kterém se Aeru nepodařilo udržet několikabodové vedení a radovali se tak opět naši hosté z Moravy.

The Chicago Wolves fell behind 2-0 in the first period and were never able to pull even as they dropped a 4-3 decision to the Houston Aeros at the Toyota Center Friday night. Center Johnny Pohl scored twice for Chicago (47-22-1-6), who lead the West Division by four points over the Texas Stars with four games remaining in the regular-season.
