Hyderabad FC put the lid on the coffin for defending champions Mumbai City FC with a narrow 2-1 victory which has meant that the Kerala Blasters have qualified for the playoffs. It was a must win match for the Islanders but they were just not able to cope with the pace and movement of Hyderabad FC that led to 2 goals in the first half.
