Resiliency has been a big part of Shane Beamer and South Carolina's identity in 2021, and it was on full display on Saturday. The Gamecocks rallied out of a 14-0 hole and stunned Auburn 21-17 to qualify for a bowl game for the first time since 2018. Beamer, a first-year head coach, got choked up in the postgame press conference after the enormous win. ZaQuandre White rushed 16 times for 99 yards and added three receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown for South Carolina. Jason Brown completed 10 of 15 passes for 157 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Auburn fell to 6-5 and wasted a superb outing from running back Tank Bigsby. He finished with 22 carries for 164 yards and a touchdown. Shedrick Jackson added seven receptions for 111 yards. TJ Finley completed 17 of 32 passes for 188 yards and one touchdown in relief of starter Bo Nix who is out for the season with a leg injury.
