Tonight Tyler Burton led Richmond (15-8, 6-4 A-10) to a convincing win over St. Bonaventure. Burton had a monster game with a career high 36 points on 13-20 from the field. It featured 3-6 3FG and 7-9 FT. He also snared 7 rebounds. The Spiders dominated the boards 35-24 and with 10 offensive rebounds outscored the Bonnies 13-9 on 2nd chance points. Burton scored 21 of his points in the first half as the Richmond built a 38-31 half time lead. UR made 13-15 from the FT line and never allowed St. Bonaventure to lead after the 10:46 mark of the 2nd half. Grant Golden backed up Burton with a 12 points and 10 rebound double-double. Andre Gustavson had 9 points and 4 steals. Jacob Gilyard dished out 8 assists. This was a big team win to start the second half of the A-10 schedule. Richmond has now won 5 of its last 6 games. The win broke a five game Spiders losing streak versus the Bonnies.
