OK, so during game 1 of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Series between the Montreal Canadiens and Winnipeg Jets, the Habs were winning the game with about a minute remaining, when Jake Evans beat out an icing in the Jets zone, and scored a a wrap around empty net goal as the game winner. Immediately after scoring the goal, Jets forward Mark Schiefle absolutely rocked Jake Evans with a massive hit, it was called as a 5 minute major on the ice, and the he has a over the phone hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety today, to discuss whether or not it warrants a suspension or fine. If you ask me, I feel like he definitely deserves a suspension for this play.
