After defeating the New England Revolution, the New York Red Bulls return home and remain searching for their first win of the season at what was once considered to be a fortress, falling 2-1 to CF Montreal. It was a strong first half for the Red Bulls, finding success in a new formation and striking just fourteen minutes in thanks to a dominant midfield trio. However, things turned around in the second half. Montreal slowly grew into the game and the Red Bulls fell out of it, giving up the equalizer in the 71st minute before one big mistake from Carlos Coronel in net ten minutes later ultimately handed Montreal the win. It was the Red Bulls' game to lose and they did just that. They'll look to bounce back next weekend against FC Dallas. Nick Guzman and James Birle will be there, but for now, here's their postgame recap.
