Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth Argyle and Wycombe Wanderers were all battling it out for a play-off finish, while MK Dons, Rotherham United and Wigan Athletic all had ambitions to automatically push for a promotion into the Sky Bet Championship! At the other end of the table Morecambe, Fleetwood Town, Gillingham, AFC Wimbledon, Doncaster all attempt to avoid relegation to Sky Bet League Two! In the end Wigan Athletic were crowned champions, while Rotherham were promoted in 2nd! Although MK Dons smashed Plymouth Argyle 5-0 they will have to settle with a play-off campaign! Wycombe Wanderers defeated Burton Albion 2-1 which saw them secure 6th spot! Sheffield Wednesday overcame a nervous start by comfortably beating Portsmouth 4-1! Although Fleetwood lost 4-2 to Bolton Wanderers, other results meant they would avoid the drop and face another year in League One next season!
