Red Bulls home struggles continue | Postgame Report

The New York Red Bulls home winless streak to start the season reached five games on Saturday night, as they drew 1-1 with the Portland Timbers at Red Bull Arena. After a sluggish start to the second half, Portland took the lead on a goal from forward Jaroslaw Niezgoda in the 53rd minute. The Red Bulls responded with an Aaron Long tally in the 67th minute, but were unable to find a winner despite a small flurry of late chances. New York is back in action this Tuesday for a U.S. Open Cup tilt with D.C. United, followed by a trip to Philadelphia next Saturday. After, they will look to rectify their home woes on Wednesday, May 18th against the Chicago Fire.
