No. 6 USC defeated No. 14 Stanford at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday for its first ever win over the Cardinal at home in the month of September. In the win, USC quarterback Sam Darnold registered 4 TDs, 316 passing yds and 2 INTs on 21/26. On the ground for USC, true freshman Stephen Carr led the way with 119 yds on 11 carries. Junior Ronald Jones II provided more than ample support, carrying the ball 23 times for 116 yds and 2 TDs, both shown in the highlights above. For Stanford, the first half was dominated by running back Bryce Love, who accounted for a monstrous 141 yds in the opening half, but finished with just 160 and 1 TD. Quarterback Keller Chryst threw for 172 yds and 2 TDs on 15/28. With the win, USC moved up 2 spots in the AP ranking to number 4. Next for USC is a home rematch of the 2006 Rose Bowl against Texas on Saturday, Sept. 16.
