Madison Square Garden was electric Sunday Night. It was the first time the New York Knicks have been in the playoffs in 8 years, and the fans showed their excitement. For New York, it was a rough start to the game as they faced a double-digit deficit in the 1st quarter. The Knicks came roaring back in the 2nd and 3rd quarter putting pressure on the young Atlanta Hawks. Alec Burks had one of the best games of his 10 year career scoring 27 points on an efficient 9-13 shooting. Derrick Rose gave New York a jolt off the bench with his 17 points, five rebounds, and five assists. New York's effort fell short as Trae Young iced the crowd with a game winner. Young showed out scoring 32 points, dishing out 10 assists, and grabbing five rebounds in his playoff debut. The last time that happened in a debut is when Lebron James did it in 2006. Young joined elite company. Bogdan Bogdanovic was clutch hitting a game tying three with 55 seconds left in the game. Bogey had 18 points, 4 three pointers, and four rebounds. It was a great start to the series for Atlanta as they walked out of Madison Square Garden with a key win. #Trae Young #Game winner #Playoffs #NBA #Atlanta #New York #Knicks
