Twitter: https://www.Twitter.com/SeanCostelloJr After an extremely tough blowout loss on Saturday night against the Memphis Grizzlies who were without Ja Morant, the Milwaukee Bucks redeemed themselves with an extremely impressive showing in Philadelphia against the 76ers last night and today I wanna talk about why while the team did have their struggles against the Grizzlies, them coming to play against the Philadelphia 76ers who are one of the top seeds in the East, was a reminder that this team is still a serious contender in the Eastern Conference. the Milwaukee Bucks got themselves a nice win over the Philadelphia 76ers last night as they won by a score of 118-116 and their execution for most of the second half as well as in the clutch moments of regulation was very great. The Bucks came out and played well opening up a 11 point lead in the first quarter but the Sixers quickly countered that and it looked like this would truly be the teams first big win with the duo of Embiid and Harden on the floor together, but the Bucks showed the exactly why they were the 2021 NBA Champs as they erased the Sixers 14 point second half lead. Defensively The Bucks stepped up and closed out on pretty much every possession from the Philadelphia 76ers in the second half. Even when the Bucks had some issues and left 76ers players open, they somehow turned positives into negatives as they turned open passes into turnovers for the opposing team. The Bucks did struggle with pressure points plays, however they showed in their March 2nd win against the Miami Heat that they do have the ability to guard pressure points plays, but they just need to step up when the opportunity arises to guard the play. The Giannis and Kris Middleton pick and roll was also something that was on display and the Bucks have used that play many times this month to sharpen it, and as of right now, things look scary for opposing teams come playoff time. When Giannis and Middleton aren’t running the pick and roll though, they’ve run double screens for Jrue Holiday and it’s really shown how diverse and agile their offense can be and what kind of plays they are elite in running.
