Michigan State has the most recent win in the historic rivalry but Michigan holds the all-time lead. Jim Harbaugh is currently 3-3 against Sparty but breaking the tie could put Harbaugh's Wolverines in a position they've never been before, the college football playoffs. Mel Tucker's Spartans have made an incredible turnaround in his two years. Michigan State only had two wins in the previous season but are one of college football's few remaining unbeatens heading into this game. In fact, this is the deepest in a season both programs have been undefeated prior to facing one another. The Spartans are led by Heisman contender Kenneth Walker. Walker has had a fantasy season after coming to Michigan State via the college transfer portal. Michigan will counter with a 1-2 punch of Blake Corrum and Hassan Haskins. Both have strong defenses but what will be the difference? Can Cade McNamara outduel Payton Thorn? Will Aidan Hutchinson take control of the game for the Wolverines defensively?
