Cleveland (6-4) was paced in scoring for the second-straight game by RJ Nembhard Jr. who scored a team-high 23 points. Iowa (4-4) was led by Vince Edwards who finished with a season-high 27 points. Brian Bowen II and Isaiah Miller each added 16 points while Bowen II pulled in 11 rebounds for his second double-double this year. Chris Silva recorded his third consecutive double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Iowa held a 30-25 lead after one quarter and extended its advantage to 34-25 after a dunk by Jordy Tshimanaga and a layup by Isaiah Briscoe. However, Cleveland ripped off a 14-2 scoring run that gave it a lead they never relinquished the rest of the night. Later, Iowa fell behind by 17 points midway through the third quarter but fought back to within two points at 86-84 after Edwards’ three with 1:03 on the clock. Cleveland though closed with a 7-2 scoring spurt to take a 93-86 lead into the fourth. The Charge built another double-digit lead early in the fourth before the Wolves got within four points after a two-point free throw by Bowen II. But a nearly two-minute-long scoring drought by Iowa helped Cleveland pull away and hand the Wolves their third-straight loss. Brandon Sampson (13), Matt Lewis (11) and Tshimanaga (10) also recorded double figures for Iowa, which played with out point guard McKinley Wright IV.
