Many people had the Colorado Avalanche and Florida Panthers as a potential Stanley Cup Final, and if last night was any indication, we would all be in for a treat if it were to happen. The Avs came out on top, 3-2, of a back and forth affair that had everything you want in a hockey game and one thing you don't. On one hand you had one team pull ahead only for the other to storm back and tie it. You had an ending that had you on the edge of your seat and goaltending to match. But you also had one player in Jacob MacDonald get taken off the ice on a stretcher. Can anything be done by the league to prevent this from happening even if the hit could be deemed as "clean"? In the end, you felt like you had been through a summer blockbuster movie and you had to catch your breath. Of course, it felt better that the good guys won in the end.
