A record-breaking night for the Tri-City Storm organization ended in a 4-2 road victory over the Waterloo Black Hawks at Young Arena on Saturday. Two major individual records were broken during the game as the Storm won its fifth game of the year against the Black Hawks. Storm defenseman Mitchell Miller broke former Storm defenseman Ronnie Attard’s USHL record for most points recorded by a defenseman in a single season during Friday’s 1st period. Miller notched his 66th point of the year on a powerplay goal during the game. Storm forward Jeremy Wilmer broke the Storm organization’s team record for most assists in a single season on the same play. Wilmer passed former Storm forward Jaden Schwartz with his 51st assist on the season on Miller’s goal. Wilmer recorded two additional assists during the game and has notched a league-leading 53 assists this season. Sebastian Wraneschitz notched his eighth victory of the season in goal after making 18 saves on 20 shots in the opening two periods of the game.
