It was the legendary game late in 1995 that was played between the snow hedges, by two powerhouses which was only made possible because of the work of local inmates helping to shovel Beaver Stadium! It featured big time football and the famous incident where a Michigan wide receiver got hit in the face with a snowball thrown by a fan. For college football fans, the game didn't disappoint. And for the home crowd, the result was satisfying! Heavy blows were exchanged in this one from both teams, and after a scoreless first quarter, the Nittany Lions took the lead in the second, and spent the remainder of the game staying just ahead of the Wolverines. What an atmosphere! What a game! Penn State Top Performers: Bobby Engram: 5 catches, 84 yards, 1 TD Stephen Pitts: 17 carries, 163 yards Penn State secured its 7th win of the year over Michigan with only two games left in the regular season. The Wolverines dropped to 8-2 with the loss and would finish 1995 with a 9-4 record a bowl loss to Texas A&M in the Alamo Bowl.
