On the night, the Chiefs went toe-to-toe with Den Haag for the first 2 periods, but with only 10 players after injuries and Covid test absences it was not surprising that Den Haag powered their way to win easily enough in the 3rd. The Chiefs players have everything they could but were clearly exhausted. But clear signs of continuing progress.] The league table says it all: Den Haag with 10 wins after 13 matches, and the Chiefs with a single win plus one overtime loss to their name. But the Chiefs have been slowly coming together, with their solid win v Geleen last week coming after a couple of very good team performances in losing 1-2 and again 1-2 in the other recent games. There may have seemed to be a step backwards in the 1-7 loss to Liege last Sunday (see elsewhere on this channel) but that score was no reflection of the game itself, where the Chiefs simply could not score despite having just as much of the play while Liege fired in some very well taken opportunities - it seemed whenever they came up. This match will be an excellent opportunity to see if the Chiefs can continue to build on that recent progress. Go Chiefs!!
