The Montreal Canadiens would play the Vancouver Canucks tonight at home in the Bell Centre and would end up winning in a shootout! Nick Suzuki would open the scoring in the 1st period then in the 2nd period it'd be back to back goals from Jake Virtanen and Brock Boeser giving the Canucks a 2-1 lead but it would be TOMAS TATAR and Joel Edmundson making it 3-2 heading into the 3rd period. 2 goals in 30 seconds from Bo Horvat and Tyler Motte would give the Canucks a 4-3 lead but Brendan Gallagher would tie the game and we would end up going to overtime. No one would end up scoring and in the shootout Corey Perry and Brock Boeser would score before TOMAS TATAR would get the game winner! With this win the Montreal Canadiens improve their record to 14-8-9 with 37 points on the season and a 1-9 record in overtime/shootouts now, and a 1-4 record in our reverse retro jerseys.
