The Montreal Canadiens would play in Winnipeg to end a 6-game away stretch and would end up losing to the Winnipeg Jets 4-3. The Habs went down early as Blake Wheeler scored 50 seconds into the game, and Kyle Connor would give the Jets a 2-0 lead after the 1st. Phillip Danault would score his 2nd of the year to make it 2-1 before Kyle Connor would get his 2nd of the game for a 3-1 lead heading into the 3rd period. In said 3rd period there would be a big spark for the Canadiens as Brendan Gallagher would score before Tyler Toffoli got his 18th of the year to tie the game with the empty net. In overtime however it wouldn't take long for Nikolaj Ehlers to give the Jets the win, leaving the Canadiens cuckolded with an 0-8 record in overtime this season. With this loss the Habs are now 13-8-8 for 34 points on the season, currently holding 4th in the North Division.
