According to The Daily Mail, Leeds United star, Kalvin Phillips has responded to rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United. The English international has impressed one and all with his performances for Marcelo Bielsa’s side in the last few years. His first season in the top flight was an excellent one and he followed it up with a sensational run of performances for England at last summer’s Euros. Phillips is a dynamic player who is capable of taking the game by the scruff of the neck. Man United lack a player with similar capabilities and could do with adding him to their squad. Bringing in a new midfielder appears to be something in the works at Old Trafford. Ralf Rangnick is a fan of Phillips and named him as one of the players he rated. The midfielder however does not appear to knee to swap white for red. The 26-year-old appears content at Elland Road and is keen to secure himself a new contract. This should prove to be a massive barrier in Man United’s hope of landing him. “I want a new contract. I’m very happy here.” Phillips is currently out of action with a hamstring injury and is intent on getting back to action as soon as possible. His focus is right now to return to action and everything else can wait.
