OFFICIAL SIGNING: Paul Pogba decision help complete £13m swoop as French star lead transfer race
OFFICIAL SIGNING: Paul Pogba decision help complete £13m swoop as French star lead transfer race

Paul Pogba decision can help Thomas Tuchel complete £13m swoop as Chelsea lead transfer race Paul Pogba could have a huge say in the success of Chelsea's upcoming transfer window amid Todd Boehly's mission to bolster the first-team ahead of next season. The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for a midfielder lately, with Jorginho and N'Golo Kante set to leave Stamford Bridge in twelve months. Declan Rice and Aurelien Tchouameni have emerged as primary targets of Thomas Tuchel, though the west Londoners have also been linked with a move for Adrien Rabiot, according to reports. Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claim that Chelsea are leading the race to sign the Juventus midfielder this summer. The report adds that the 27-year-old, who sees his contract with the Turin-based side expire next summer, could be available for as little as €15 million (£12.8m). Newcastle have also been credited with an interest in Rabiot, but his agent is leaving the door open to a move to Paris Saint-Germain. Rabiot's potential exit from Juventus coincides with the Old Lady's reported desire to bring back Pogba from Manchester United. Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Massimiliano Allegri's side are on the brink of resigning the midfielder, who has been offered a three-year deal worth around £10million-a-season. The report adds that Juventus are confident of getting a deal wrapped up, of which could be officially announced this week. Therefore, with Pogba's arrival on the cards, Allegri could have as many as six midfielders at his disposal next season. So, Juventus could be inclined to relinquish Rabiot's services, with Pogba helping Chelsea complete the first transfer of the Boehly era. The LA Dodgers co-owner, who agreed a £4.25billion deal to buy the west London club on Monday, is expected to 'push for A-list signings' to mark a new era at Stamford Bridge, according to the MailOnline. And, regardless of whether the American billionaire secures Rabiot's services, Tuchel is keen to undergo a rebuild at Chelsea this summer. Speaking to football.london, the Blues boss said: "We are rebuilding, not improving the squad. We are rebuilding. This is always challenging, but we are up for the challenge. "I don't know where we are from day one. What I can promise is that I will be here – if I can promise that – I will be here with full energy and positive energy no matter what. We will still work for Chelsea, and I refuse to think of negative scenarios. We will be competitive, on which level we will see."

OFFICIAL: Man Utd finnaly land on first summer transfer deal as Ligue 1 star set to follow Ten Hag
OFFICIAL: Man Utd finnaly land on first summer transfer deal as Ligue 1 star set to follow Ten Hag

Man Utd push ahead on first summer transfer deal as Ajax star set to follow Erik ten Hag Manchester United are pushing ahead with a move for Ajax's £35million-rated defender Jurrien Timber. New United boss Erik ten Hag wants to bring Timber with him and the two clubs are understood to be in talks over a deal for the central defender. Timber, 20, was instrumental in helping ten Hag secure his third Dutch title with Ajax and the Old Trafford-bound boss is keen to continue their working relationship in Manchester. United have targeted a striker, a creative and holding midfielder, as well as a centre-back this summer, while they are also looking at both full-back roles if the right players become available. Timber, who excelled under ten Hag at Ajax, making 43 appearances in their title-winning campaign, could be the first signing of the Dutchman's United reign. Asked about taking some of Ajax's players with him to United, in particular Timber and forward Antony, ten Hag said: "I think all the top clubs in Europe have Timber in their sights. But I think that applies to a lot of Ajax players at the moment. “If Antony were to go, it would be a loss for Ajax, because you have no one in the current selection who can take over his position.” Elsewhere, Ten Hag has strangely been told to target Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech by Ajax legend Marco van Basten. Ziyech worked with Ten Hag in Amsterdam before his move to the Premier League, and while he has won trophies at Chelsea, the Moroccan international has struggled to nail down a first-team place. He has made just 12 league starts this term. However, speaking on Dutch TV on Monday night on Ziggo Sport’s show ‘Rondo’ - which featured Ten Hag as its guest - Van Basten suggested that Ziyech could again thrive under the new United manager if he moved to Old Trafford. “What comes to my mind now is that I think Ziyech who already plays in England could be a very good footballer at Manchester United for Erik,” Van Basten said. Ten Hag refused to respond specifically to Van Basten’s suggestion and insisted that he is already used to dealing with transfer speculation “Of course this was already the case at Ajax,” said Ten Hag. “You take that in and then you have to continue to work well with the dressing room and with people within the club. You have to analyse well and make the right choices.”

SURPRISE !! Christian Eriksen finnaly agreed sign from next club Man United
SURPRISE !! Christian Eriksen finnaly agreed sign from next club Man United

Christian Eriksen outlines what he wants from next club amid Man Utd transfer interest Manchester United transfer target Christian Eriksen has hinted that he is hoping to return to the Champions League ahead of a potential summer move. The Danish midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season having only penned a six-month deal with Brentford in the January transfer window - his first return to football following his shocking cardiac arrest at Euro 2020. A number of clubs including the Red Devils have been linked with a swoop for the former Inter Milan man following his impressive performances in west London and now Eriksen has suggested that he is eyeing a return to the top table of European football should he wave goodbye to Brentford. Speaking to Viaplay after the Bees’ 3-2 comeback victory over Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday evening, the 30-year-old said: “I do not think that there are some football players who can just pick and choose between clubs, because there are many criteria that come into play. There are also many clubs that need to see one’s path before that happens. “I have different offers and options, which we are considering, and then we make a decision. I would love to play Champions League football again. I know how much fun it is, but it isn’t essential for me.” Eriksen of course reached the Champions League final with former club Tottenham Hotspur, only to be on the losing side against Premier League rivals Liverpool. Since signing for Brentford in the January transfer window, the Dane has gone on to make ten appearances for the Bees. He scored a memorable strike in the 4-1 victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge back in April, whilst he has also provided a further four assists - that form having been pivotal to Brentford steering themselves away from any relegation trouble throughout the campaign. Eriksen still has time to guide the club to a highly-impressive top-half finish, the side current sitting 11th in the standings ahead of their final match of the campaign. Whilst there is currently plenty of interest in Eriksen’s services ahead of the summer transfer window, Bees boss Thomas Frank has already expressed his desire to keep the Danish playmaker at the Brentford Community Stadium. Speaking last month, he said: “Obviously Christian is a fantastic player, but I know that I will answer this question from now until the end of the season and hopefully we end up signing him. “But if he ends up at another club, it is what it is," he continued. "I think we went into this with open eyes and this is the outcome we hoped for, that he performs fantastic and that we perform well and the other hope is that he performs after the summer.”

FANTASTIC SIGNING: Erik ten Hag completed deal Man Utd to sign £13m Arsenal target
FANTASTIC SIGNING: Erik ten Hag completed deal Man Utd to sign £13m Arsenal target

Erik ten Hag wants Man Utd to sign £13m Arsenal target - report Incoming Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has his sights on landing Reims striker Hugo Ekitike this summer, ESPN reports. The 19-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Newcastle United in January, but a deal did not materialise before the transfer deadline. According to ESPN, Ten Hag is now keen on landing the young Frenchman, who has bagged 10 goals and three assists for Reims this term. However, there is plenty of competition. Newcastle are still in the mix while Arsenal and Bayern Munich are also reportedly interested in Ekitike. The Magpies were willing to offer £25 million up front last winter, but it is now claimed that he could be available for just £12.85m. Ekitike has had an impressive breakthrough season for Reims. He managed 13 goal contributions until February before suffering a serious hamstring injury. Despite the setback, the youngster appears to be attracting high-profile interest. A number of clubs are backing his potential to become a genuine goalscorer in future. Ten Hag likes to groom emerging stars as witnessed at Ajax, but he may ideally want two strikers at Man Utd this summer with one of them having a prolific scoring record. Ekitike is still highly inexperienced at the top level. The Dutch tactician may utilise him regularly off the bench before he becomes an establish figure in the long run. The same could be the case at Arsenal and Bayern Munich. Newcastle appear the most likely club to assure him with a regular starting role for the 2022/23 campaign. It may eventually come to what the youngster wants to do. He would have the chance to play in the Champions League with Bayern and potentially with Arsenal. United could likely offer him Europa League football. None of this would be possible at St James’ Park. United have had excellent pulling power over the years, and Ten Hag will be hoping they can lure the young marksman.

Transfer Signing News: Man Utd beat to battle Manchester City for 18-year-old Brazilian wing-back
Transfer Signing News: Man Utd beat to battle Manchester City for 18-year-old Brazilian wing-back

Transfer News: Man Utd linked to battle Manchester City for 18-year-old Brazilian wing-back According to AS (h/t Sports Witness), Manchester United are being linked to young wing-back Vinicius Tobías. The likes of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and arch-nemesis Manchester City are also said to be interested in the Shakhtar Donetsk player. FIFA has confirmed that players in the Ukrainian Premier League as well as foreigners in the Russian Premier League clubs can leave on a free transfer in an arrangement that would last till the summer. This could be a breather for some of the international players considering the fragility of the current situation. Tobias signed for the Ukrainian club in January and could be facing a difficult time in view of recent developments. The teenager is also at an impressionable age at the moment and a change in scenery could do him a world of good. The youngster has made seven appearances with the Brazilian U-16 national squad to date and also managed to bag an assist during that time. Adding a young exciting full-back to their ranks could help future proof the attacking department at Old Trafford. The club has been fragile at the back, this campaign, and have struggled to open up opposition defences at the same time. Interim manager Ralf Rangnick is still trying to instil his brand of intense football but the players seem a long way off the pace at the moment. The likes of Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have also struggled to recreate the form that they showed last season. Whilst Diogo Dalot has been a prominent presence under the German manager, there isn’t a confirmed starter in the right-back position at the moment. There could be certain complications regarding any move for the young Brazilian wing-back but this could be a good situation for the club as well as the player. The 18-year-old could get the experience of being surrounded by some great players and should he show great potential the club could even try and lure him in. It is highly unlikely that the Sao-Paulo-born player would disrupt the hierarchy but would most probably play a part in the development team at the Mancunian club or be sent out on loan in an effort to give him some more senior team minutes under his belt. That being said, there are quite a few factors at play here including interest from some of the top clubs in Europe. With a lot of uncertainty, only time shall be able to predict what the future holds for the young Brazilian.

FANTASTIC SIGN: Man Utd signing to replace uninspiring flop with the ‘best midfielder in the world’
FANTASTIC SIGN: Man Utd signing to replace uninspiring flop with the ‘best midfielder in the world’

Man Utd urged to replace uninspiring flop with the ‘best midfielder in the world’ Man Utd have been told to sign the “best midfielder in the world” who already has the “stature of Steven Gerrard” to replace the outgoing Paul Pogba. Pogba, 28, is poised to leave Old Trafford for the second time this summer. The Frenchman will be out of contract and at present, there is little indication he will extend his stay. Pogba’s time at United during his second stint has been characterised by underachievement and inconsistency, though there can be no doubt as to the talent he possesses. Indeed, Pogba frequently showcases his true potential in the international arena with France. But at club level, Pogba has regularly flattered to deceive and former United striker Teddy Sheringham wants a different type of player drafted in as his successor. Via the Manchester Evening News, Sheringham urged his former club to snap up West Ham ace Declan Rice. The 23-year-old has developed into a complete midfielder with the Hammers. Indeed, Sheringham compared him to Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard in his assessment. What’s more, Sheringham reckons Rice is already the “best midfielder in the world”. Whether Rice can stake a claim to that accolade is open to debate. The likes of Kevin De Bruyne may have something to say on the matter. Nevertheless, Sheringham explained why Man Utd should break the bank for Rice to replace Pogba who he claimed has the “wrong character” for the Red Devils. “It’s going to be hard [to keep him],” said Sheringham. “I spoke to West Ham supporters and said, ‘he is the best midfielder in the world at the moment’. I rate him highly. He’s got everything a central midfielder needs. “He understands the game, he’s got good pace, he can control the ball, pass it, make good tackles and get forward. “He has the stature of Steven Gerrard in midfield – he’s that dominant now that even when he’s getting closed down. He’s got good pace and power about him that he can get away from midfielders. That’s very unusual to have that in a central midfield position. “[Declan would be an upgrade on Pogba] because Declan is the best midfielder in the world. Pogba is a talented boy, but leads with the wrong character. He doesn’t inspire people around him, he doesn’t inspire his supporters around him. “Whereas someone like Declan does. You want to roll with him, the way he plays the game.” Rice’s current contract with West Ham expires in 2024, though the club retain an option for a further 12 months. David Moyes previously suggested Rice would command north of £100m, with the latest valuation settling around the £120m mark. The midfielder set tongues wagging when revealing his burning desire to play elite level European football. United and Chelsea are the two clubs drawing the strongest links, though the Independent’s Miguel Delaney claimed it is the Blues who are Rice’s preferred choice. Meanwhile, Sheringham slammed the current state of his former side following their defeat to Manchester City. “I have seen both sides of the story,” Sheringham told Sky Sports‘ Monday Night Football. “But I have also been in it where there are fragments in a team, in a club. “I have played in a very dominant Manchester United side where it is demanded that you are 100 per cent committed to the cause and everyone is rowing in the same boat together led by a top manager. “When you play against a team like Manchester City they find every little hole in your set-up. They work you and they work you again. “Everyone is trying hard to stop that but then they come back out and they go for another area, they keep prodding at you. It grinds you down when these teams keep dominating you.” “When you are playing in a team that is focused and all rowing in the same way it is all great. But when you are playing for a manager and you’re thinking, ‘He won’t be here next season. I don’t have to try that hard, he’ll be gone, I’ll work for the next manager.’ There are vibes like that and you can see them all over the pitch. “Players are being left out. Is he injured? Is he not? There are just problems at the club. I think that comes from the leadership at the football club.”

FINNALY !!! Monaco finnaly agree sell 100m Euro price tag on star midfielder to join Man United
FINNALY !!! Monaco finnaly agree sell 100m Euro price tag on star midfielder to join Man United

Monaco set 100 million Euro price tag on star midfielder who Man United and Chelsea view as… Manchester United and Chelsea are both in the market for a defensive midfielder, and have identified a prime candidate with a 100 million Euro price tag. According to Marca, this individual is French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, who Monaco have set a price tag of 80 to 100 million Euros. The 22-year-old has caught the eye while playing for the Ligue 1 side and has subsequently been the subject of interest from a number of big name clubs, including Spanish giants Real Madrid. Tchouameni has been a mainstay for Monaco this year, appearing 31 times in all competitions. While such high transfer valuations would usually indicate someone such as West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, another who has been strongly linked with both United and Chelsea with a potential summer transfer, Tchouameni is one of the next best alternative options either team could acquire if they are willing to match the new price tag. Last season the Frenchman was valued at 60 million Euros, but impressive performances this year including for the French national team have increased interest in his services, therefore increasing their asking price in order to squeeze every ounce of money they can out of a potential deal. All three of the clubs mentioned need someone of his calibre. Man United have lacked genuine investment in the position for a few years now, and Fred and Scott McTominay are not good enough to carry United on their backs. Meanwhile, Chelsea do have three class players who can play there, but lack any real depth beyond that while also needing to simultaneously phase out the older midfielders within their club. Such as Jorginho or N’Golo Kante, the latter of whom has reoccurring fitness issues. Real Madrid also need someone to replace veteran Casemiro, as he approaches the twilight of his career.
