On Saturday, NYCFC used a strong second half to overcome the San Jose Earthquakes 3-0 with goals from Keaton Parks, Gabriel Pereira, and Chris Gloster. After a quiet first half, the Cityzens bursted into life following the introduction of Pereira, Gloster, and Maxi Moralez. All three goals came in the last 15 minutes of the game, as NYCFC jumped to 5th place in the eastern conference standings at 4-1-3. This was City’s third win in a row, following triumphs over Real Salt Lake and Toronto FC the last two weeks. The Boys in Blue are back in action next Saturday, May 7 against Sporting Kansas City at Citi Field.
