Bayer Leverkusen hat es schon wieder getan: Der Deutsche Meister hat im Heimspiel gegen den VfB Stuttgart zum 15. Mal in dieser Saison in der Nachspielzeit getroffen. Zum 46. Mal blieb die Werkself ungeschlagen! Im ersten Durchgang war es eine ausgeglichene Angelegenheit mit leichten Vorteilen für die Gastgeber, nach der Pause drehte Stuttgart richtig auf und erzielte zwei Tore durch Führich und Undav. Leverkusen war zunächst von der Rolle, der Anschluss von Adli brachte aber nochmal Hoffnung. In der Schlussphase verteidigte Stuttgart eigentlich sehr gut, hatte Nübel für die wichtigen Szenen, doch Andrich wollte die unglaubliche Saison von Leverkusen fortführen. Leverkusen feiert damit eine gelungene Generalprobe für das Halbfinale der Europa League gegen die AS Rom. Stuttgart verliert in der Tabelle der Bundesliga den Anschluss an den FC Bayern. Die Münchner sind nun auf fünf Punkte davongezogen, Leipzig ist bis auf zwei Zähler herangerückt. So spielt Bayer 04: Hradecky - Kossounou, Tah, Tapsoba - Frimpong, Palacios, Andrich, Grimaldo - Hofmann, Adli - Schick.
