Woensdag 27 april verdedigden de volleybaldames van Zenneblok Eppegem, in donkere uitrusting, hun leidersplaats in de competitie tegen rechtstreeks concurrent Myka's uit Leuven. De winnaar van deze partij was zo goed als zeker kampioen in 1ste provinciale. Zenneblok opende sterk en liep snel 3-9 en 12-14 uit. Maar de tegenstander uit Leuven was vooral verdedigend erg secuur en won de eerste set met 25-23. Onder luide aanmoedigingen van het thuispubliek kwam Zenneblok in de tweede set 23-20 voor. En toch ging ook die set finaal naar Myka's: 24-26. In de derde set konden de Eppegemse dames geen vuist meer maken. Set, wedstrijd en kampioenstitel gingen naar Leuven. Maar Zenneblok kan het seizoen nog in schoonheid eindigen: op 7 mei spelen de dames de bekerfinale. Tegenstander is... Myka's uit Leuven.
