Joined by former England team-mates Gary Neville and Ian Wright alongside Jill Scott and Roy Keane, βSir Lesβ kicks off the show talking about the competition for a starting spot in Englandβs stacked frontline in the 1990βs. Despite being called up to Euro 96 and the World Cup in 1998, Les didnβt play a single minute and reveals which one incident meant he never made an appearance at a major tournament. A legend for QPR, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur in his playing days with 149 Premier League goals, Les talks about his time as Spurs coach where he worked with record England goal scorer Harry Kane. The former QPR man also talks about his role as Sporting Director at the Rβs and why he left the club after eight years in June 2023. T10 League is a ten-over format cricket league in the United Arab Emirates launched and owned by T Ten Sports Management. The league is approved by the Emirates Cricket Board.
Rajputs of Nepal or anciently Rajputras (Nepali: ΰ€°ΰ€Ύΰ€ΰ€ͺΰ₯ΰ€€ΰ₯ΰ€°) are various historical groups of Rajputs from ancient and medieval India that have immigrated to Kathmandu valley, Khas Malla Kingdom, Western hill regions and other Terai territories. The first Nepalese dynasty of Indian plain origin were Lichhavis who were Rajputs and entitled themselves with the archaic title Rajputra.
Rajput is a large multi-component cluster of castes, kin bodies, and local groups, sharing social status and ideology of genealogical descent originating from the Indian subcontinent. The term Rajput covers various patrilineal clans historically associated with warriorhood: several clans claim Rajput status, although not all claims are universally accepted.
RΔjputΔna, meaning "Land of the Rajputs", was a region in India that included mainly the present-day Indian state of Rajasthan, as well as parts of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, and some adjoining areas of Sindh in modern-day southern Pakistan. The main settlements to the west of the Aravalli Hills came to be known as Rajputana, early in the Medieval Period. The name was later adopted by British government as the Rajputana Agency for its dependencies in the region of the present-day Indian state of RΔjasthΔn.
During the medieval and later feudal/colonial periods, many parts of Northern regions of the Indian subcontinent were ruled as sovereign or princely states by various dynasties of Rajputs.
The Rajput Regiment is an infantry regiment of the Indian Army. It is composed primarily of troops from the Rajput, Ahir, Brahmin, Bengali, Dogra, Gurjar, Jat, Muslim, and Sikh communities.
The Rajputana Rifles is the oldest rifle regiment and one of the senior-most regiment of the Indian Army. It was originally raised in 1921 as part of the British Indian Army, when six previously existing regiments were amalgamated to form six battalions of the 6th Rajputana Rifles.
Rajput painting, also called Rajasthani painting, evolved and flourished in the royal courts of Rajputana in India. Each Rajputana kingdom evolved a distinct style, but with certain common features.
The Rajputana famine of 1869 affected an area of 296,000 square miles (770,000 km2) and a population of 44,500,000, primarily in the princely states of Rajputana, India, and the British territory of Ajmer. Other areas affected included Gujarat, the North Deccan districts, the Jubbalpore division of the Central Provinces and Berar, the Agra and Bundelkhand division of the United Provinces, and the Hissar division of the Punjab.
Before the Muslim conquests in the Indian subcontinent, much of northern and western India was being ruled by Rajput dynasties. The Rajput kingdoms contended with the rising and expansionist empires of the Muslim world, be they Arabs, Turks, Pashtuns or Mughals.
