When you're golf ball is around the green, it can end up in different lenghts of grass. Next to the green you have the fringe, very short grass. Next to that is the first cut. Normally that has the lenght of the fairway. Behind the first cut is the rough and in some cases, next to the rought is the deep rough with thick grass. Did you creating backspin or topspin is very easy? In this video we'll explain you how to create topspin of backspin in your chips. This excercise is very easy and it will help you control the spin of the golf ball. This is important to know when you want to roll the ball more (top spin) of make it stop faster (backspin). This method will work with your longer clubs as well, for example when you drive, you want te get more distance, so you need topspin. With an iron you want to approach close to the hole, so you want backspin to prevent it from rolling too far.
