Salem Spartans, formerly known as Tuti Patriots is a cricket team representing Salem district in the TNCA T20 League tournament, Tamil Nadu Premier League . The team is owned by Vivo Chennai south distributor Selvakumar M.In 2020, the team changed base from Thoothukudi to Salem and renamed as Salem Spartans.

The Tuticorin Airport is a domestic airport located 16.9 km (10.5 mi) from Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, India serving the districts of Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi and Kanniyakumari in southern Tamil Nadu. It is located 15.6 km west from the city centre on Thoothukudi-Tirunelveli NH 7A. Tuticorin airport was inaugurated by the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa on 30 April 1992 and the former Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Tourism M. O. H. Farook presided with her.
