The Victoria Royals were unable to overcome a three-goal second period by the Prince George Cougars as they fell 5-2 on Friday night.
The Victoria Royals were shutout on Thursday night by the Vancouver Giants 4-0. The game was scoreless through 20 minutes, but Vancouver broke it open in the second scoring three times.
The Victoria Royals and Kamloops Blazers met in an afternoon affair at the RE/MAX Hub at Prospera Place on Sunday. A goaltender duel through 40 minutes was turned around in the game’s final 20 minutes as the team’s combined for five third period goals. Unfortunately for the team from the Island, the Blazers got the extra goal and took the contest 4-3. Alex Bolshakov led the way for Victoria with two goals.
The Victoria Royals battled back from a 2-0 first period deficit to take a 3-2 lead in the third period, but the Kamloops Blazers came back with a vengeance from that point scoring four unanswered goals to take the game 6-3.
The Royal couldn’t quite keep up with the Vancouver Giants on Wednesday night in the RE/MAX Hub in Kelowna as they dropped a 6-4 decision. Rookie Brayden Schuurman led the way for the Royals with a goal and assist. Royals Captain Tarun Fizer contributed with two assists.
