Who said Kobe couldn't pass? Watch this highlight package and you be the judge. People like to talk about how the mamba adopted the role of a defensive stopper with the Redeem Team, and that's true, but he also channeled his inner point-guard throwing dimes back and forth. I've always argued he was a very talented and creative passer, he just didn't use it to it's full extent throughout certain phases of his career. Like his mentor Tex Winter used to say, sometimes bad shot selection got in his way and clouded his judgement. Other times the trust in his teammates wasn't there. But when the proper circumstances arrived? He showed he could be an amazing playmaker. Team USA was a great example. This compilation features footage from the eight official 2008 Olympic matches, the five exhibitions played prior to that and the ten 2007 FIBA Americas games that served as a qualifier for the Olympics (I also included footage from the Select Game played between the two USA squads, which was pretty fun stuff to watch, btw).
