2017 Baseball Championship: Semifinal Highlights South Alabama vs Arkansas State

South Alabama got hits from all nine batters in its lineup and made an early 2-0 lead stand up in taking a 4-2 win over Arkansas State here Saturday in the first semifinal game of the Sun Belt Conference Baseball Championship. The third-seeded Jaguars (38-19) move into Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET title game against the winner of Saturday’s second semifinal matching fifth-seeded and tournament host Georgia Southern and eighth-seeded Texas State. USA got a solid starting pitching performance from junior right-hander Tyler Carr (7-1), who scattered five hits and gave up a lone run while fanning five in six innings. Reliever Avery Geyer gave up a leadoff walk to Grant Hawkins to lead off the seventh and Garrett Rucker followed with a double off the left-field wall that scored Hawkins, but closer Matt Peacock came on to retire nine of the 10 Red Wolves he faced in getting his 10th save of the year.

2017 Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Championship: Semifinal Highlights UTA vs Texas State

Bobby Conley scored 16 points and Immanuel King scored 11 of his 13 in the first half when Texas State built a nine-point lead and went on to upset top-seeded UT Arlington 83-62 on Saturday. Nijal Pearson added 14 points, Kavin Tilbury-Gilder 12 and Nedeljko Prijovic 11 for the fourth-seeded Bobcats (20-12), who will play the winner of No. 2 seed Georgia State and No. 6 seed Troy for the conference championship on Sunday. Texas State shot 53 percent. The Bobcats reached 20 victories for the first time since 1993-94 when they had 25 wins and went to the NCAA Tournament. They will be playing in their first Sun Belt final.

11/19/16: UL Monroe vs Appalachian State Highlights

Marcus Cox rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns to become Appalachian State's all-time leading rusher and lead the Mountaineers to a 42-17 win over UL Monroe on Saturday. Cox has amassed 4,820 rushing yards in his career, surpassing Kevin Richardson's 4,804 yards (2004-08). Taylor Lamb also got in the record books, throwing for two touchdowns to give him 61 to become only the second player in school history with 60 or more touchdown tosses. Lamb finished with 208 yards on 14-of-22 passing and rushed for an additional 92 yards on just five carries.

MONROE, La. (AP) Caleb Evans threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns, including a 7-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Green in overtime to lift UL Monroe to a 42-35 victory over South Alabama on Saturday night.

10/15/16: South Alabama vs. Arkansas State Highlights

A 60-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Chris Humes opened the scoring and the Arkansas State defense stifled South Alabama to win its 11th-straight Sun Belt Conference game with a 17-7 win Saturday at Centennial Bank Stadium.

10/15/16: Texas State vs. UL Monroe Highlights

Backup quarterback Will Collins tossed two touchdowns in relief and ULM rushed for 298 combined yards on the ground as the Warhawks grabbed a 40-34 victory over Texas State on Homecoming in Monroe Saturday night for their first Sun Belt victory of the season.
