Alexis Sanchez is closer than ever to an early exit from Manchester United following his latest snub by Jose Mourinho. The Chilean was dropped from the squad for United's Champions League victory over Young Boys on Tuesday night. Sanchez only joined United in January, as part of a swap deal with Arsenal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but does not feel he has a future at the club under Mourinho. Aerial footage reveals helicopter crash scene in Leicester
The helicopter, belonging to Leicester City's owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha - who is feared to have been on board - came down just outside the ground after the club's match against West Ham last night. An aerial view shows where the helicopter crashed and then burst into flames, in a relatively derelict part of the site. The crash could have caused mass casualties if it had come down on the road, car park, nearby houses or wrecked part of the King Power Stadium. Fans celebrate in Paris as France beat Croatia 4-2 to win World Cup
Fans in Russia and at home waved the French tricolor and cheered as their team swept to victory with a resounding 4-2 win at the Luzhniki stadium. In Paris, where 90,000 people gathered next to the Eiffel tower to watch the match on vast TV screens, there were choruses of the Marseillaise, honking horns and hundreds of thousands of red, white and blue French flags fluttering in the breeze. A jubilant French President Emmanuel Macron celebrated wildly with his wife Brigitte while Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin watched on at the final game of the 2018 tournament. England fans react to Croatia goal and match heads into extra time
Striker Mario Mandzukic put Croatia 2-1 up in extra time to leave England on the brink of a World Cup semi final exit having led much of the match 1-0 only to be pegged back in the second half. Ivan Perisic flicked a cross home with his outstretched boot to level the score at 1-1 following Kieran Trippier's brilliant free kick which put England ahead after just five minutes. England had chances in the first half to extend the lead with Harry Kane coming very close to making it 2-0. Thousands of fans are in the Luzhniki Stadium cheering on the side while more have turned Moscow's Red Square red and white as they poured into the streets of the Russian capital with flags and wearing facepaint. England can reach their second-ever World Cup final with a win and would face France.
