What a season we're having. Jason Tindall departed the club in the week after a poor run of results for the Cherries. Whilst we had games that some Cherries fans could attend, the majority of us will be returning to a vastly different club - no Eddie, no Jason. It's sad we haven't had the chance to say goodbye to some incredible servants. Despite the risk not working, Jason is still one of them - thank you JT. So it was Jonathan Woodgate that stood in for our home clash against the Blues on the following Saturday. To his credit, he obviously needed to come in and pick up players who have been mentally at a low and players who haven’t had the confidence to express themselves on the football pitch for some time. Whilst the showing was far from perfect, it was one was saw us score goals. This video forms part of a larger audio podcast. Bournemouth made hard work of the beautiful game against yet another team in the bottom half of the table on Saturday as Luton Town emerged 1-0 winners at Dean Court in a deserved victory where Cherries simply did not do enough. Despite sporadic moments of near-joy, Cherries look disjointed and asunder - a far cry from the Championship winning side of 6/7 years ago. If we're thinking promotion, we might need to think again. It wasn't just Bmth that weren’t at the races, the ref wasn’t either. A diabolical performance from the man in the middle. He drove down from the North East to officiate today - yet more pointless travel over a long distance during Covid, and... just like Dominic Cummings, maybe he needed an eye test too - as he sent off Lerma with one of the worst reds we have seen. Despite that, Cherres kept on trying to walk it into the box, and Luton were clinical when they needed to be. On Saturday night, Cherries weren’t exactly vintage. A change of formation, two personnel changes, and a familiar frustration for large parts of the game. But Junior Stanislas came good when needed. In this podcast Sam Davis, Neil Dawson, Jeff Hayward and Tom Jordan dissect our performance at the Bet 365 Stadium. Stoke were good at stifling the attacks, whilst not producing a lot of their own. But that said, it felt like they had the majority of the chances in the first half albeit not the clearest. Boscombe had the best opportunity of the second half though… and they took it.
