The Langtang Trail, Nepal

In March this year (2022) I visited my friends Andy and Eva who live in Kathmandu Nepal. Lesley another friend of mine came along with me. While there we decided to do a trek and chose the Langtang Trail. The trail is about 20 miles long and takes you up into the Himalayan mountains along the Langtang valley. We did the trek through a professional trail company and had two porters with us to carry all but our day bag luggage, one of them was a qualified trek guide. The company took us to the valley by jeep, a seven hour journey along some very varied and challenging roads. The trek itself took seven days four to get to our destination, one to climb a mountain to a spectacular viewing point and two to get back. It took longer to get to our destination because we needed to acclimatise to the altitude. It was an amazing adventure and I hope this video captures the spirit of it and the beauty of the land.
