BIBL KK Kumanovo 2009 - KB Sigal Prishtina 13 Dec 2016
Kostoski′s energy leads Kumanovo to a 6th win KK Kumanovo 2009 is one of the first two teams to reach the Second Stage of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. That became fact after the team defeated KB Sigal Prishtina 86-68 at home to secure its sixth win of group A. Even if Kumanovo is to lose its last two games the team cannot fall under fourth place. It was also the last game, at least for now, for Aleksandar Kostoski with the team as that brought additional energy and his performance helped his team. For Sigal Prishtina it was a third defeat in five games as next week the team will travel to Tivat to play Teodo. Kumanovo′s next match will be on January 17th away at Kozuv. Kumanovo had a very good start and scored the first 9 points of the game. Then the hosts continued to have a good lead which after ten minutes was 7. Sigal though started clicking in the second period and with 8-2 run to begin it, they closed the gap to just a point. After that both teams exchanged baskets before Kostoski triple gave a 1-point edge to Kumanovo after 20 minutes. The third quarter opened with a triple by Hinds but then the hosts responded with 9-0 run. After it they led by 4-5 points before an 8-0 run gave them their first double digit lead of the game at 11. Sigal tried to stop the momentum but couldn′t do it and another Kostoski triple at the buzzer made the difference 14 points with 30 minutes played. In the last period Sigal tried to come back and cut some of the deficit but in the final minutes Kumanovo had more power and increased the advantage. Aleksandar Kostoski was the top performer for the winners with his 29 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Danilo Mijatovic did well with 18 points and 9 rebounds as Marjan Janeski had 14 and 8. Malcolm Rhett had a very good game for the visitors with 21 points and 15 rebounds as Jabarie Hinds added 15 points.
BIBL SK Tirana - MKK Feni Industries 07.12.2016
Big first half lifts Feni for a win in Tirana MKK Feni Industries recorded its first away win this season. The team from Kavadarci visited SK Tirana and took 72-63 victory after a great performance in the first half. The team took a big lead after 20 minutes and had enough power to held on to it. After this round Feni is tied for the first place with 4 wins and 2 defeats while Tirana is third with 3-4 record. Next week Feni will visit Trepca while Tirana will host Sutjeska. A fantastic start gave the visitors a large lead from the first minutes. The team scored the first ten points of the match and not only but after finishing the first quarter on an 8-0 run went up by 19. The visitors kept leading in the second period and increased the advantage to 28 points in the middle of it and at the break it was 26. Things changed in the second half as Tirana was trying to close the gap. The hosts managed to do so but without really posing any real threat to Feni. The advantage went down but generally the visitors were controlling the game and didn′t have any trouble to finish it. Branislav Djekic had a nice first game for Feni in BIBL and finished with 15 points. Matija Ceshkovic did well with his 14 points as Kiril Nikolovski added 12. The top scorer in the game was Gerti Shima with 20 points for the home team as Griffin Ramme added 15.
BC Beroe - KK Kozuv 06.12.2016
Beroe extends winning streak at home BC Beroe registered third consecutive victory at home, beating KK Kozuv 91-85 for a second time in the First stage of SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League. The Stara Zagora team also won on 18 October 2016 in Gevgelija, 86-80. After this match Beroe improved to 4-2 in Group A, while the guestS fell to 1-5. Next week Beroe will visit Bashkimi while Kozuv will host Teodo. The hosts gained an early double-digit lead, but the Macedonian team cut its second quarter 25-point deficit to 52-58 in the second half. A 9-0 run put Beroe ahead by 15 again but the game was still open until the end as Kozuv managed to stay close. The visitors though never really threathened and the Stara Zagora team cruised on with an important victory. Shane Gibson led the scorers by 20 points, Aaron Jones had a double-double - 18 points and 10 rebounds. Stjepan Tesija finished with 17 points, and Nikolay Nikolov added 11. Milivoje Mijovic scored 31 points and was one board shy of a double-double. Kenyon McNeail answered with 21 points and 8 assists and Larry Hall made his BIBL debut by collecting 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
BIBL KB Bashkimi - KK Kozuv 22.11.2016
Bashkimi holds on for a dramatic first win 22-11-2016 | 21:55 | KB Bashkimi finally managed to record its first win of the season. The team from Prizren hosted KK Kozuv and after a hard fought game won dramatically 69-66. The outcome was decided in the final seconds as both teams had a real chance to win but the hosts showed the better nerves. This match ended their drought of four straight defeats while now Kozuv is on a run of four losses in a row. Both teams are now tied with 1-4 record in the standings. Next week Bashkimi will host Sigal Prishtina while Kozuv′s next match is on November 6th away at Beroe. Kozuv led early by 5 but 12-2 run for the home side gave it the advantage. Bashkimi was up by 6 after ten minutes and then things didn′t change much. The hosts led but by no more that 6 and Kozuv was close. So it was normal that at the break the difference was only 5 points and the game was wide open. The visitors tied the score after the break and both teams remained close throughout it. Right before the third quarter finished Kozuv took the lead for the first time since the first one and was up by 2 before the last ten minutes. With 3:25 to play McNeail hit a triple to make it a 1-point match and a minute later Kozuv again went up by 1. In the next offense Bashkimi tied the score at the teams were at 65 with 128 seconds to play. With 1:22 to go Palm put the hosts ahead and then both teams missed. With 13.5 seconds on the clock Matijasevic was fouled but he made only the first free throws. Then with 7.8 seconds to go Palm went to the line and he scored twice to make it a 3-point game. Those were the final points of the game as the visitors couldn′t make two free throws and the final shot. Eric Palm had a very good game for the winners with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Kejuan Johnson also did well with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals while Ermin Jazvin had 8 points and 9 rebounds. Kenyon McNeail had another good game for Kozuv with 22 points and 7 assists but also made 7 turnovers. Milivoje Mijovic had 11 points and 12 rebounds while Jagos Matijasevic and Nikola Djurasovic both scored 8 points.

Kumanovo holds off Kozuv in a great game KK Kumanovo 2009 recorded third straight win in group A of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The team hosted KK Kozuv in the Macedonian derby of this round and took 84-76 victory after a great encounter. The teams played really hard and gave their all from the first minute. It was a very good spectacle for the people in the gym who witnessed a lot of lead changes and turnarounds during the contest. Finally in the decisive moments the hosts showed better nerves and won the match. It gives them a 3-0 record and ties them with Beroe at the top while Kozuv now stands at 1-3 with its third straight defeat. Next week Kumanovo will host Beroe in the derby for the first place as the team from Gevgelija will have a break and then will visit Bashkimi. Both teams exchanged points early but then Kozuv scored 8 points in a row to go up by 7. After that moment the visitors led until the break and their advantage even reached 10 points in the second period. Shortly after that Kumanovo made an 8-0 run to close the gap to a single point as was the difference after 20 minutes. Both teams kept fighting hard early in the second half and were very very close. They exchanged baskets and were really putting on a show for the fans in the gym. Finally with little over two minutes to play the hosts went up by 5 points and then both teams exchanged two free throws. After they both missed but when Kozuv didn′t score again it was all over. Danilo Mijatovic had another good game for Kumanovo with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Stefan Zivanovic also did well with 19 points as Miladin Pekovic had 14 against his former team. Milivoje Mijovic played well for the visitors with 20 points. Nikola Djurasovic and Kenyon McNeail also did good with 18 points apiece as the American had also 8 assists.
BIBL KK Sutjeska - SK Tirana 24.10.2016
Big second quarter run makes it two in a row for Sutjeska KK Sutjeska recorded its second straight win in group B of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The team from Niksic hosted SK Tirana tonight and took 77-61 victory. The home side made a big run in the second quarter which helped to build a good advantage as after that a comeback for the visitors was very difficult. However they didn′t stop fighting and made the game interesting until the end. Next week is a rest in BIBL as after that Sutjeska will host MKK Feni Industries while Tirana will visit Karpos Sokoli 2000. The game was very even and close in the first 15 minutes. Then in the span of only three the hosts made a great 17-0 run to pull away by 15 points. At the break the difference was 13 points and Sutjeska controlled the game after that. In the last four minutes of the third quarter however the visitors made a 10-2 run to close the gap 7 points and give themselves a chance. In the fourth period the hosts kept leading while Tirana kept trying to cut the deficit even more. With 2.33 to go a Djokovic triple capped an 8-0 run which took the advantage to 15 points and decided the outcome. Goran Gajovic was the top scorer for the winners with his 23 points. Djoko Salic also played well with 21 points and 7 rebounds as Marko Perovic added 14 points. Endrit Hysenagolli had another double-double for Tirana finishing with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Genti Lasku and Abdel Gjyzeli also did well scoring 10 points apiece.
BIBL KK Kozuv - KB Bashkimii 12.10.2016
KK Kozuv started the new season in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League with a convincing victory. At home in Gevgelija the team ousted KB Bashkimi 80-63 after leading from start to finish. A great first half from the hosts allowed them to take a very big advantage which was more than enough for the second part of the match. Next week Kozuv will host BC Beroe while Bashkimi will play at home against Kumanovo. Kozuv started very good the game and took 12-2 lead in just over five minutes. After that the hosts continued to have the big advantage which never stopped increasing. Soon it reached 20 points and as Kozuv controlled the match, after 20 minutes they were up by 24. A quicki 7-2 start of the second half gave the home team an advantage over 30 points and they had no problems after that. Bashkimi closed the gap in the final minutes but it was too late for something more. Top scorer for the winners was Nikola Djurasovic who finished with 24 points while also adding 6 rebounds. Robert Abramovic also had a good game with 22 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists while
