The top rated QB in the class of 2019 took over after Jalen Hurts & the Sooners offense didn’t skip a beat. It is just Missouri State, but it’s encouraging to see Rattler look like someone with experience in his debut. Rattler only played in the first half & put up full game numbers. He threw for 290 yards & 4 TDs on 14 of 17 passes. Ultimately, Oklahoma defeated Missouri State by the score of 48-0. There’s a lot of hype being the starting QB at Oklahoma after Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray & Jalen Hurts, but so far it looks like Spencer Rattler is up for it. The Buckeyes have had some really good dual-threat QBs over the years & Fields fits the mold perfectly. He’s drawn former Heisman winner & 1st overall pick Cam Newton comparisons because he’s a bigger QB and can throw the ball down field. In his highly anticipated Ohio State debut, Fields came out of the gates swinging with a long TD run and threw 3 more touchdowns in the 1st quarter. It’s still early, but this was a great start to a potential Heisman campaign. Fields has just as much hype as the last two Heisman winners & 1st overall picks in Baker Mayfield & Kyler Murray. Now that he’s on the New York Giants, it’s time for the Nittany Lions to look elsewhere for production from the RB position. This is where former 5-Star Miles Sanders steps in. While he shouldn’t necessarily be expected to be just like Barkley, it’s not too much to think that he can be just as good as him with as the season progresses. Sanders is a Junior and never really stepped out of Barkley’s shadow. This year could be when he lives up to all the hype coming out of high school.
