Post-match reactions from the 20th game of our Singapore Premier League campaign. Finally a win to break the streak of losses. While it wasn't always the most convincing, we dominated the game and had the lion's share of shots and possession and deservedly won in the end. We speak with Nicholas and Reyes after the game, both fans who named different players that they were impressed by. We also feature the matchday beer sellers from WLJK, who tell us a bit about what they do at their restaurant (not sponsored!). If you want more content, head on over to sailorfantalk.com as always. We've got a post-match thoughts article coming up soon! Check out our page at https://ko-fi.com/sailorfantalk if you'd like to buy us a coffee!

Post-match reactions from the 9th game of our Singapore Premier League campaign. In the reverse fixture, an early red card left us with a mountain to climb and we succumbed 1-0 to Geylang. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength while our opponents struggled to pick up wins. A rare Diego Lopes header gave us a 1-0 win, and we had some nervy moments to go along with a colossal performance at both ends by Pedro Henrique, and old boy Abdil Qaiyyim - but what did our fans think? We catch up with Malcolm who gives us his thoughts. Check out our page at https://ko-fi.com/sailorfantalk if you'd like to buy us a coffee!
Post-match reactions from the 5th game of our maiden Champions League campaign. Entering Matchday 5 with Daegu, Urawa and the Sailors all stuck on 7 points, the fans were hopeful that we may be able to spring a surprise and take a point off the Red Diamonds. However, it was not to be as we were hammered 6-0, to hand us our biggest defeat of the season. A rare mistake from Hassan started it off, and then we simply failed to cope with the Japanese side's incisive passing. Kim Shin-Wook may have had a chance at salvaging some pride with a consolation goal, but their keeper was sharp and kept the ball out. A sobering defeat - but what did our fans think? We caught up with Kevin (@thelioncityboy ) and Teng Kiat to hear from them. Check out our page at https://ko-fi.com/sailorfantalk if you'd like to buy us a coffee!
Post-match reactions from the 3rd game of our maiden Champions League campaign. After the highest of highs 3 days ago, this was much more of a grind. We battered the door of the fort that Shandong Taishan put up to keep the goals out, but did not manage to break the door down, as their defence held firm in a 0-0 draw. 2 clean sheets in a row at the top level of Asian club football, but what did Sailors fan Yowie think about the game? And could he pick a MOTM? Check out our page at https://ko-fi.com/sailorfantalk if you'd like to buy us a coffee!
Post-match reactions from the 2nd game of our maiden Champions League campaign. (this time from our fans at home!) A deserved win for a team that was willing to fight all night long, a deserved win for a team that shrugged off the 4-1 defeat from 3 days ago - a deserved win for the Lion City Sailors, representing Singapore in Asia's premier club football competition. Listen on as our fans react from the comfort of their own homes, and hear their thoughts on who their MOTM was, and what they felt about this historic achievement! Post-match reactions from the 2nd game of our maiden Champions League campaign. Well. What more is there to say than holy heck we won 3-0! Against a K-League team. And it was no fluke. A deserved win for a team that was willing to fight all night long, a deserved win for a team that shrugged off the 4-1 defeat from 3 days ago - a deserved win for the Lion City Sailors, representing Singapore in Asia's premier club football competition. We speak to LCS CEO Chun Liang to gather his thoughts on a historic victory for the Sailors and for Singapore football. (Listen on for his surprise MOTM nomination!) Unconvincing against the Young Lions in midweek, we managed to tame the Jaguars in stunning fashion with a 6-1 win last night! A brace from Diego Lopes, a goal from big man Kim Shin-Wook as usual, a first goal for Lestienne, and further goals for Shahdan Sulaiman and Hafiz Nor made things comfortable for us. A really good performance before we make our debut in the AFC Champions League. What did our fans think about the match and who was their pick for Man of the Match? We speak to our fans to find out!
