After leading the game 2-0 once again another stupid error from a Chesterfield player has cost us the game. Curtis Weston needlessly head-butted an opponent causing himself to be sent off in the 20th minute. This accompanied with a horrific refereeing display led to us losing 3-2. No excuses with their goals as we were up against it understandably,however another potential leg break for CFC with no opposition player getting a card as well as many bizarre decisions is disgraceful. 3-1 win for CFC today in the 1st round of the FA Cup. Very much a second string 11 put out from us due to 11 injuries and our main focus being promotion and still very comfortable in the end. A late penalty miss by Southend and two late red cards (Calvin Miller & Zac Brunt) soured things but overall a good performance. Final Score: CFC 3-1 Southend United Attendance: 4713 (291 away)

Good tuesday night away day in Wales tonight at Wrexham. Full sell out for the home crowd and a solid away following from CFC made for a great advert for the fifth tier of English Football. Two clubs that shouldn’t be in this division. Poor game but overall we dominated and should of won the game but got a typical 84th minute suckerpunch from Paul Mullin in what I think was Wrexhams first shot on target for the whole game drew them level. Another two points dropped for the Spireites. Final Score: Wrexham 1-1 Chesterfield Attendance: 9147 (549 Chesterfield)
