Lance Lynn Throws the first pitch of the Field of Dreams game
On August 12, 2021, MLB staged the first game at the newly created Field of Dreams, situated on the grounds of the famous movie site, of the same name, from 1989. A cornfield in Dyersville, IA was cleared to create the stadium for this unique event, featuring the New York Yankees and the Chicago White Sox. Lance Lynn of the White Sox threw this pitch to the Yankees DJ LeMahieu, marking the first MLB pitch to ever be thrown in Iowa.
